A Japanese Information Defense Force is formed to help face modern threats. Deemed a violation of international law and of the Japanese Post-War Constitution, Korea and China become outraged.
Secretly, the head of the IDF begins launching information-warfare attacks against Japan and blaming the attacks on North Korea. When the U.S. intervenes, as they are obligated to under Article 9 of the Japanese Post-War Constitution, the U.S. is attacked as well, forcing North Korea to escalate the situation with a pre-emptive invasion of South Korea.
As war erupts on the Korean Peninsula, Sam Fisher must thwart the alliance between the Japanese Admiral, a neurotic computer hacker, and the head of an international paramilitary company in order to prevent the rekindling of a massive world war in the Pacific.

nope... there's no way to run the game mounting the image or the minimage.
it reallt needs to be burned and run with an usb/fireware dvd drive

Before you can play a daemon tools mounted image you will need to patch the SF drivers.
It was already done by Carbon for their release of Second Sight. (see below)
They need to update their patch to be compatible with SF 3.4.71.19 (Second sight was SF 3.4.62.00).
It's definitely a way to go....
---------------------------------------
Installation Notes (from Second Sight!!!)
ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ
STEP 1:Unpack and install game mounted on newest daemon tools.Start game:
Game will then ask you to reboot to install the protection system.
Do as asked and reboot.
STEP 2:In the patch folder there are 3 files.
Run sfdrvrem.exe but do not reboot yet.
Then run sfdrvup.exe which will give you an error 1072.
Finally run the sfdrvpatch.exe on the file located in
Windows/System32/Drivers.Should tell you it is cracked.
Now reboot.
STEP 3:Click game icon and again it will ask to to reboot to install
protection system.(Bah)
STEP 4:Finally download Starforce nightmare from http://starf.bestmedia.kiev.ua/.
Run the SFNightmare.exe and(a) disable cd (b) disable node and (c)
disable ch2(depending on what IDE cable your cd drives are on).
Ensure game is mounted and try to play.Enter serial ****************
Game should check disk and play.
NOTE: Game was tested on several desktop computers with XP installed and cdroms on channel2
IDE cables.

yes it's related thats why there now is a "Splinter.Cell.Chaos.Theory.DVD.Alcohol.Clone-PiZZaHut" thread in the Protection Bitchin forum.
I'm sorry if its a bit confusing but that just atkes a bit getting used to. we first wanted to scrap all the protection post completely but we instead we made a special forum just for that.

Read that on the orange forum :
ForumLamer wrote: | You can make this work using a virtual drive by following the instructions below, I have been playing around and thinking about it, I bought the game and was trying to make a backup-DVD work, since SF3 requires the CD on a IDE device and not a SCSI it doesn't work on virtual drives, but using this works, its still frustrating though.
If you have no more than two IDE CD-ROM devices, be sure they are both connected to your Secondary IDE cable. Then disable the Secondary IDE Controller in the BIOS/CMOS setup. Mount the game on the Virtual Drive with either Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools and it will work!
[Note: You will need to enable the Secondary IDE Controller in your BIOS/CMOS each time you use your CD drives and disable each time you play a Starfoce 3 protected game] |
... And another member replies :
Stegg wrote: | I cant see how in the hell this is gonna work. How did u make the clone? Did u actually make the backup with Alcohol, use a high DPM setting with super low speed, have RMPS on it, then mounted it in a v-drive and it worked that easily? I find that very hard to believe, cuz thats exactly what u would have to do. Also, is the game using a KEYLESS method? We will still need to use a key, unless its not using one, but 90% of SF3 games use one.
Or....did u just download that PizzaHut release and use that one to test things? All these methods u listed are already well known, and we have all been using them for months, usually in conjunction with the Mini-Images and Reg Hacks.
Second Sight, for example, wont work with a MI, and can be ran exactly as u described. No key either, but still, u need to use a small driver patch prog on the main SF3 driver to get it working. What im saying is , SOMETHING has to be done lol. It cant just be that simple, else everyone would be playing this release already. |
'found it was worth c/c it here : )

The real problem apparently lies in the key/serial
you need to enter.
I encourage you to read the discuson about it on
the orange forum, coz I won't c/c here all the conver-
sation.

it's not a serial problem. the problem is that people don't understand that the minimage cannot work, no matter if the serial if correct or not... if people don't burn the dvd and use and external dvd drive the game it's not gonna work.
i use an usb2 dvd drive and the games runs perfectly with the serial i got
