I can't understand that - they release a new version and claim it fixes blacklists but you still can't play current games without third-party tools. What's so hard to integrate a tool like asr in DT??

must have gotten lucky with the guild. just tried it with GTR2 and guess what? 
well obviously so far no difference bewtwwen this and the other version, and added SF support or whatever is useless since nothing decent uses sf anymore. nor do i want to insall that shit on my system. maybe blazing angels would work.

deamon tool with all its promises and what the heck ? virtual cd8 is able to emulate Tages protection while deamon tools free version and PRO version obvisiouly lack this feature cause it still not here what a bloody mess I advice nobody to buy deamon tool pro when and if it ever comes out they are bunch of fake promise makers I don't like that. its only cause of virtual cd8 does not have an good simple interface like deamon otherwise they for sure deserve to be the mainstream emulator...

NO STUPID VCD8 can read sectors backwards and with this you can make a image from a Tages CD/DVD  with this metod even Alcohol and Blidwrite clone tools looks cheap
and Dt4HE is only a virual drive and not the Dt4pro that can make images ...
with this metod i made a Clone from a orginal Gothic 3 DVD , the hole process took 1h and yupie i have a perfect clone of TAGES  only mount in the VCd8.0.04 and game runs great - can run it simply by clicking the new game button without that mubo jumbo save tricky ...
no need to buy this game now  |

Free DT can support Tages, but it dont understand the architecture of VCD8. So when DT Pro comes out with Tages dumper it will create images of Tages and you can use them on current DT Free as well.

AAAAAND another update
DAEMON Tools 4.0.8
Changes in version 4.0.8:
| Code: | - This new version supports silent setup now. Example: daemon408-x86.exe /S /D=F:\Some Folder\
Note that no quotes must be used in installation path even if name has spaces.
- All critical errros will be still displayed no matter silent or not.
- Case of parameters is important, eg. /s will not work.
- Reboot prompt will not be shown.
If SPTD was not present then it will be silently installed but PC will not be rebooted - it is assumed the administrator who performs unattended install will take care of reboot and restarts DT setup after reboot in this case. It is best first to use standalone SPTD installer and install it silently this way: sptdinst-x86.exe add /q
Note: SPTD 1.37 will not display debugger warning dialog anymore. They left this info in EULA only as this message confuses many users and also not "silent setup friendly".
Standalone SPTD 1.37 installer is released by Duplex Secure officially and can be obtained at their website http://www.duplexsecure.com
Also fixed:
- a lot of Installation problems (f.e. invalid device, prob 12 etc).
- SPTD 1.37 fixes also problem reported with virtual drive from InterVideo DVD Copy 5. |

Can remember the days when I would reboot my PC and disable my secondary IDE channel in order to play some of the SF games. Wish I could remember the group that released the IDE 'Drive Hider' tool I began using...
