Does the Hola trick still work on GOG for the expansion pass? I figure the guys deserve some extra money because I saved on the base game but I don't wanna fork over 25€ for DLC.
Hmm browsing from Ukraine they still want 25$. Although from Russia it's 999 rubles.

Same for the base game (as in it worked back then, dunno if it still works now)

Increases the LOD distance of most objects in the game, bit of a brute force method as LOD is stored together with the 3D mesh itself so as these have to be edited and repacked the download size is pretty large.

Lol this comment...willing to play at 19 fps just for the mod:
Quote: | Now this is an amazing mod!!!
Getting 25-30 frames with everything on ultrahigh and 1600x900 without AA, and I´m really curious to test this mod.
I guess 19-20 Frames with mod running - what do you think?
Fine graphics is the most important thing because the gameplay is already PERFECT in Witcher 3 |

The difference is extremely subtle though.. I opened the comparison images in Photoshop and faded between the before/after images. There are times when a really tiny object (e.g a vine or a flower pot) is visible with the mod, most of the time it's identical to the unmodded game.

You think?
Flipping back and forth between these two, the difference in detail is huge:

Would definitely use if my PC could handle it but I'm already dropping to <30fps in Novigrad so I'll pass for now.

@pillermann
Tbh I wouldn't call it "huge"..it is quite noticeable but I'm not sure this difference justifies 10 fps performance hit.
PS It looks like this mod is most effective in cities whereas in wilderness the difference is negligible.

2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

The only difference there was the vine, nice but hardly worth losing FPS over, imo.. very subtle. The shadows are also slightly different (since not taken in the exact same moment) which makes it harder to judge the quality.

Those aren't shadows, it's additional detail on the brickwork lol. Yeah not worth the fps hit but for peeps with fancy 980s and Furies it should be playable.

Sometimes there's more shading on the before image, sometimes in the after image, depending on where you look.. i have no preference between the two really, except in the rare case there's additional detail, like the added vine.

It took me somewhere around 230 or so hours just for base game (before expansion)...But I read every book and note I found. But I skipped most POI in skellige. I'll probably do them on my second playthrough.

Well i don't use the minimap, so I don't get the POI ocd attractions, nor do I know where most of them are until I explore into their path.
I'm actually more surprised you got 180 hours out of the game with the gps and the secrets all labeled on the minimap.

probably because i tend to just enjoy wandering the world and immersing myself in it, and dont just try and race through and finish the game just for the sake of completing it.
