After Oblivion I'm not sure I trust Bethesta to make a good game anymore. They really dumbed that shit down.

I mean it's the fact they actually pay attention to what they're putting in there vs someone like 2K who gave us a REMIXED fucking 3 cd sound track.

No videos or such aside from the pre-rendered teaser but all screens released so far have been real and are in-game albeit with most of the hud hidden away.
(It was the same with most Morrowind and Oblivion or even Daggerfall images.)

EDIT: As seen with the recent HUD image some screens are from the console version.
(The A, X, RT and LT markers.)

The VATS mode also slows things down while increasing your damage resistance, and if you score a good hit (exploding head etc.) it'll show a small playback of the result.

I missed those days when I first played Fallout 2 and accidentally kicked the village elder in the back of the head and ran from my fellow tribes men all calling for my demise. But it was no use... *sighs*

With the way Fallout 3 is going I don't think I am going to even pirate it. They should have just made this game with a few differences and never bought the fallout name.. Why must everything good die so young?

You're acting like Mass Effect was the first game to use multiple hit points and slow down effects.. Errmm.. Max Pain? Kingpin? Seriously, nothing in the world of game development is "ripping off" its simply adapting concepts that were created many many many years before it.

yes they are riping off Mass effect , you are wondering why i say that , when WRPGs (W for Western , not like Jrpgs with turn based battles , Wrpgs have real time battle systems) became hip on the x360 and the only playable way to do it was to use the same game mechanic that ME brought but with a different theme , then yeah They are riping off ideas

Oh dear god, you clearly can't see past some idiotic fan boy love for mass effect, completely forgetting every single game created before it including realtime RPG elements.. You have no argument, because you are wrong.

say what ? Laughing never ever said i liked this game so don't put a sticker on some one you don't know , back to the topic ... you are forgetting that this game is made from ground up as a x360 title that later will be ported to other systems and the control scheme must fit on a pad to make it more playable for the console folk ... sorry dude but its not Witcher or Stonekeeper or Draken or Eye of the beholder Laughing its a Wrpg that has loads of action then immersion

And Star Wars had this thing called "the force", remember? Oh and Requiem had the angelic powers, and that game was from fuckin' 1999 (and I'm sure that other games had similar stuff before that). As Syn said, Max Payne had bullet-time (slowdown). If they rip off someone, they sure as hell don't rip Mass Effect down, because pretty much everything in that game was done a million times before in a different setting.

Anyway, on topic: I didn't really want to comment on the game, but since I'm already here, let me say that IMO, this game will be a steaming pile of shit (yeah, not really news, got it...). I could deal with the 3rd person stuff, hell even the shitty real time combat system, that desecrates pretty much everything combat in Fallout stood for. But the dialogue options in one of the vids... oh how I hate Bethesda and their "target audience" (presumably 12 year-olds with ADD) for that. It'd be better NOT to make a "new fallout" at all. Make a shitty game if you want to, and leave this franchise alone, damnit!

Yeah, it's not like Fallout fans are their target audience anyway.

They could have just called this Fallout Adventures: Steaming Pile of Shit and advertised it as a Fallout Adventure from the makers of Oblivion and it would have sold.

Pretty funny that you would mention a title like that since Bethesda did a "Adventure" spin-off with their Elderscrolls serie resulting in the action/light-rpg title Battlespire and the adventure game Redguard.
(The games were average so this spin-off serie was canceled.)

The game doesn't look bad though but I can't really judge until I've played it.
(Liked Oblivion despite how different it was from Morrowind but it's been like that with all TES games such as Daggerfall being different from Arena.)

Hope they release a editor for this title, might help fans make it more into the classic Fallout titles. Smile

That was intentional. Bethesda should go back to making games like Battlespire. As in bare naked breasts.

Actually Megaton (The city's name.) kinda looks like a remake of Junktown in Fallout 1, perhaps it's a sort of homage or tribute to that game. Smile
(Aside from the "surprise" in the center of town, mentioned early on in a few previews but I'll avoid spoiling it.)
