First one was indeed very innovative but oh so buggy. I'm sure this will be one more buggy piece of junk and I'm sure they wont bring any new kickass features or updates to it, they have a liscence that will sell for sure, why they would spend any extra ressources to make something new or original with it... (seems to be their global approach at least!)

ofp 1 still is the best game ever made in my opinion. with the resistance addon it even had one of the best storylines of all the games up to date. And no game has a more terrifying war atmosphere...
i'm pretty sure ofp2 will rock. graphics wise I don't expect it to be such a huge progress... it'll be state of the art, not more. But physics-wise there's going to be a big progress... imagine destroyable terrain, true destroyable buildings, realistic gun physics etc...
there won't be any new info till e3 I expect as well. They actually wanted to introduce the game in e3 2004, but finally decided not to do so because the game wasn't advanced enough at that moment...

saddamhussein I agree with you that the add-on (resistance) was the best. It's damn shame that there aren't any campaigns like resistance.
I think the only reason they didn’t release it yet, is it cause the opf 2 requires allot of cpu power and graph power. And I have a felling that the minimum requirement.

Yea, I remember the original demo a long time ago..jumping into the truck, having the commander telling you to spread out, he doesnt want one grenade to take us all out ;p
then taking over that small town/intersection...no other game came close to even ALMOST making a war game feel so realistic at that time...

Strange, this game was anounced a half year after OFP1, and until now nothing offical has been released. It's like they forogt about this game.
OFP1 was one hell of a game tough:)

Are you sure? I heard they did not show OFP2 in the last E3 coz if they did, no one would even bother looking at the XBOX version, which they did show at the time. Makes perfect sense to me, who the hell would want to check out OFP on the XBOX when there is OFP2 on the PC....? I'm very sure the game was, still is in an early stage, but some screenshots would not have been impossible, well.... i think it wouldn't have been  |

well, OFP1 sucks for online play. the patches have helped, but you cannot jump in/out midgame, which was a result of a programming/design mistake on Bohemia's part.
a CD-KEY should be enough protection for these ratfuck publishers. if the game has FADE or any other STARFORCE crap it will not get a purchase. I bought OFP1 only after I knew that the protection had been stripped and was playable online.

the release is 2006 so be cool !
maybe it has starforce 6,5 or stuff
with laser marks on the disc and u have 3 register everytime u want to start the game and stuff !!!
