Is anyone here into it? Boxed copies? I've just started myself and I've gone a little silly doing so, just wondering if anyone here has anything decent

Here's an even bigger kick in the guts...

Around 3-4 years ago I used to live near a shop that literally had around 20 of these - nobody where I lived gave a damn about them. They were $25 each and every time I went in there I just walked past them. As did everyone else it seemed.

"Who needs boxed copies?" I said to myself.

The Witcher. Sad

Collectors edition. Sad

Sad

Got those from ebay not so long ago so keep looking.
(not even that expensive).

Trying to get alll sierra games still sealed

You didn't even sell them?! Laughing

I once checked around prices for the STALKER and Morrowind's collector editions but then realized that I'll probably never have the money for them.
Or would later regret spending it on something like that.

Epsilona still hasn't posted nothing on this, BTW? Scratch Head

I've got a few games, but not enough to call it a proper collection I guess. That's simply because I have so few money. I do want more boxed games. Sad

I haven't bought boxed copies in quite a long time, but I do still have a ton of them. Ask Sabin, he knows because I tease him from time to time with stuff like my FF7/8, Max Payne, HL, Outcast...Cool Face

Also got just about ever Lucasarts game up to and including the JK games, not all the crap after that. Heck, I still have my golden Zelda cartridge; and the NES to go with it Razz

The collectors edition?

Not the enhanced edition, it was a big long box with the necklace and stuff in it. Is that what you mean? This one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Witcher-Limited-Collector-s-Edition-PC-complete-in-Big-Box-ULTRA-RARE-/200815271036?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec185dc7c

Pretty tempted to buy this one now that I see it

Actually, neither of those may have been the one I seen in the store, they look infinitely better, I just remember it was a long rectangular box

Yeah that one ....sealed as well Twisted Evil

...another nice story

Was looking for Full Throttle on ebay (maybe finding a sealed copy somewhere...)
After looking for it a couple of weeks someone posted a new item on ebay.
He still had a box full of sealed copies and sold them 20$ each i think.
He even gave a deal if you bought more than one...so i bought 3 copies.

After finding out who the seller was i let him open one copy and sign the game.
It was the lead singer of the band who did the OST ... Laughing

This Sad I used to have a huge, boxed, PC collection - everything from US oversize boxes to the small CD-style jewel cases... I loved my collection Sad Times were hard though, so everything got sold ... and for about 1% of what it was worth Crying or Very sad Now I've got a handful of boxed games -- but happily still have my US oversize PC Omikron and my original FF3-US SNES boxed cart.

I used to have all kinds of old game boxes.. the old Lord of the Rings. Lightspeed.. I've still got my 5 CD Baldur's gate somewhere, no box for that though..
I move around a lot though so boxes, while nostalgic and awesome, just couldn't stay with me. I hated to give them up though.

I did keep some of the CDs in my latest move though, like my Silent storm Gold, but these days it's all steam.

I used to have loads of these huge PC boxes with a lot of adventure games I specifically remember (Larry Laffer 7) Baldur's Gate and Diablo I/II. Sad I threw them away, but I still have the discs in the basement.

With that said, I do have some boxes lying around here:

The original POP trilogy:

HL2 original retail box + The Orange Box

Grim Fandango (from LucasArt's classic), Dreamfall, Second Sight, Dreamfall OST. I do have the original The Longest Journey in the basement.

Splinter Cell tetralogy (I do have the original in the basement)

Hitman Contracts (I do have all of them in the basement apart from Blood Money)

F.E.A.R (5 CDs So Much Win), Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy) and Company of Heroes

In addition to that I have the collector's edition for The Witcher 1 and 2 and GTA IV retail box, the one that fol opens. Wink
