I hear A40s are better than A50s. Just bought Klipsch 2.1 and neighbors are bitching about the bass and it has never gone past 50% bass and 25% volume at listening volume. |

Ivy/Haswell don't get hot-hot, they're just not as thermally efficient as Sandy. It's an easy fix but one that will void your warranty, if you care about such things.
