The Crack for 1.1 is the problem.
Unpatched it works with and without the crack (clone).
Patched to 1.1, the clone still works fine, but with HOODLUMs 1.1 crack, it crashes.

What Valve was doing witzh HL2 was NOT custommmer-friendly. No game has ever caused so much ...
