Thanks for the info, is it simple to tell the difference between the new and old Phillips drive, i.e. a model number or date stamp?

| I have been burning games without an issue and playing them, but when I try them on my friends Xbox they get a dirty disc error or just won't load. He has some games which don't work on another friend ... |

Thats what I thought also, but I have used purple Ritex discs, Maxwell +RW, Bulbaq Orange, Datawrite Red and none work from Nero when burning an iso but are fine with record now max.
