| it doesn't depend on the release, it depends on the CD key. Find that educational one that can't be banned(too many institutes use is) and use that with any release. |

| it's best to install vista after XP. BUt if you want to do it your way you can easily use VistaBootPro to get everything working fine, that's what I did. |

550W PSU is fine for a 260 unless he has a lot of HD's.
It could be several things, but most likely a hardware issue. Are you OCing? |
