I really hate both nsis and inno as both don't care about software deployment and are a pain in the ass to get packaged.
I wouldn't say it's a pain in the ass (for nsis, didn't try inno) cuz it took ... |

I would say ollydbg, it's a assembly level debugger, it can be used for many purposes: disassembler, patcher(hex editor too) and a very good debugger

hiew is more like a hex editor with assembly output option then a dissassembler.
If you want a dissassembler try w32dasm, hdasm or even better try ollydbg which happens to be a assembly level debugge ... |

I would recommend slackware. I tried many other distros, I just keep returning to slackware. Version 11 released a week ago... |
