it installs xp flawlessly but vists nope
so i put ide dvd reader in pc and installed vista quicker than installing xp

My DVD Writer is plugged into IDE, but like highstuff said my IDE cables maybe connected to an onboard raid controller, i havent really read the board manual 
so you must have 3 ide slots on you ... |

instead mount game as normal and either use starforce nightmare or
