TAGES is a very solid copy protection, it works fine and it automatically releases the 3 activations after a several period of time (Most 3-4 weeks) which should be more than enough. You can also contact them to release an activation. It also isn't a crap system like SecuROM, I'd rather have this TAGES than SecuROM so this shouldn't stop you from buying it. The only reason you complain about this protection is because it isn't cracked yet and that's always the only reason why people complain about any protection in general. If you want this game shut up and buy it.

A bit off topic - but I just grabbed a 1080P release titled in English and tagged as English that was fucking GERMAN. Goddamn it! Someone's head needs to roll....
I played a bit of Anno 1701 and enjoyed it, so looking forward to this as well.

Well I tried Riddick and Codename Panzers cracks just for shits and giggles and obviously they don't work because Tages files CRC differ and can't be patched. I bet upgraded crack version for this game shouldn't be too hard to do since initial break in protection was already made with these two games.

Well, if you're gonna do it, do it right, patch the correct files from riddick and then overwrite the anno ones with the cracked ones.  |
LOL would be too easy if that worked. And we would still need Vca.bin specific for this game.
EDIT: Looks like another iso is going up on usenet, bigger size so maybe multilingual that also has English.

I really reallly like how the big islands are MUCH bigger than in Anno 1701, you can actually build big cities now with 2-3 village centers, and still have place for some hemp plantations (NO NO NOT LIKE THAT, only for clothes, honest!)
Also, when you gain achievements or medals (2 diff things) in this game, such as by hour played, inhabitant records or wierd stuff, you get "gems".. You then use those gems to unlock decorative buildings like market stands or flags that carry your banner. Or more portraits for your profile.
You can also unlock more colors and banner emblems that will appear on your ships sails and the flags in your settlement 
It actually makes it more fun sort of, now you dont just get 10000 inhabitants, you actually get some "loot" for it too.
One standard easy achievement or bronze medal (such as completing 10 quests or whatever) is worth 20 gems, and a color costs 10 gems while a banner/sail emblem costs 20 gems. Decorative buildings cost 200 each.
Now i gotta go unlock the Umber color and sun emblem ^_^
Also, the graphics are just epic. Nicer than crysis, no joke. And you can eat my mc donalds strawberry milkshake farts if you disagree.

I love Anno 1701/1404 gfx engine, but why the hell shadows rotate when you rotate camera in both games. Looks so dumb and disturbing.

Well thats something which should be fairly easy to fix for the devs but it doesn't annoy anyone except you probably, didn't even noticed it until you said it.

- Bevor jmd sucht, die Stelle ist an 0x512ABF von 0x72 -> 0xEB
