REDS TO DEFEND CROWN
Liverpool have been told they can defend their Champions League crown next season.
UEFA has awarded the Reds a place in the competition's first qualifying round.
It means Liverpool will have to play six matches in order to qualify for the group phase and it could interfere with their pre-season tour of Japan.
Liverpool, who failed to finish in a qualifying place in the Premiership, will become the fifth English side in the competition.
Former captain Phil Thompson told Sky News the decision was a great one for the fans.
"I think it's a fantastic decision. It's a right decision," he said

Good, hopefully this will apply to all future teams as well where the winner of the CL doesnt qualify will will get a place in the 1st round qualifiers

So who has lost there place in that qualifyng round ?
Have they been compensated with the uefa cup spot ?
Why does everton deserve to have its Tv Money slashed ?
Why do i even care ?

The unfair bit is that the other 4 english clubs will have to share revenue in 5 parts.

Tv revenue yes.... why would a tv company pay extra when they cant possibly show all the matches anyway?
