Just to make it clear, Dark Crusade has no real single player campaign, only a map with different occupied territories by the seven races u have to conquer. No ingame cutscenes at all during the campaign but a video introducing the seven races. As said before Singleplayer = Skirmish.

Yes. And you can bulid everything from the beginning. So you can build everything from the tau and necron right from the start. So its getting boring if you don't are really into it.

That might be just what makes this better than the previous titles. The stupid idea of having the tech tree expand with 1 per level is annoying as hell and I usually cheat to get access to the top tier units at the start anyway...

That is usually the case with conquer-the-world type games. And it's still very much fun.

well, it's not just a skirmish like map-conquering-type'o campain. When you fight for the enemy stronghold there are objectives and cutscenes. So you must conquer 6 stronghold to win, that means you get 6 standart camp. maps + the skirmish types. Smile

anyone else notice that if you dont start building units in first 5 min or enemy is going to zerg you to death

First 5 min? Lol, if you don't build units in the first minute, you're a toast... Especially with Orcs as enemy. The PC farts hundreds of them at you!

Imperial Guard... just bunker them if someone comes into your base at the beginning of the game. Later on in the game... they are the ones who will need bunkers:

The pyramid fortress outdwarfs anything... Whatever you throw at it, it's just unstopable. So if you manage to hold on untill it can rise (not a hard job to do with the units of the Necrons), the battle is finished.

So... Skirmish only? And you have to fight against all other factions? Please tell me there's at least a small backstory explaining why the hell the Imperial Guard is fighting the Space Marines...

There is a basic backstory of why are all the races fight eachother, but it's like a history lesson. And when you attack a fortified province, there are cutscenes.

Grr how do i stop the long video at the start of this game...tried ESC whacking every button. How lame have to watch a 3min long video everytime u wanna start the game!!!!

Any ideas?

This game is great warhammer 40,000 was the best now this is.You avin a laf !? Company of heroes better though.

I wonder for DoW2, which races they'll put in. It'd be insanely hard to put all the races currently available in the game and expansions plus new ines. It will also suck if they would only put 3-4 races in the sequel. Though spot they are in...

ya I was just about to say they got overpowerd, I mean the TAU can rip through them if done correctly but damn, not only is it annoying gaving necrons die in your base and have them resureccted NON fuckin stop, but they have a huge friggn base that is the end of teh world that can move, oh...and lets not forget when they ahve a hgeu squad go invisible and you can't attack but just sit there and die, ya that ones alot of fun. Either way, I love the fuckin TAU
