Full specs will be probably posted tomorrow at the MWC
but here is little info

Quote:
The Galaxy S7 will come with a 5.1” Super AMOLED Quad HD display and will run on either Snapdragon 820 or the new Exynos chip, both version featuring 4GB of RAM.

The main camera utilizes a new 12.1MP sensor, and the microSD slot is expected to make a return. Also returning will be the IP68 dust and water resistance.

The future is here now for only €699 and €799

i still see no reason to upgrade from my s4. even tho it's sooo old already.
almost nothing new except some better hardware which i don't need and maybe a fingerprint scanner which would be nice.
hope there will be something in the near future where you can say "ah shit must buy"

don't get me wrong the s7 will probably be again the best android phone on the market (until the new note comes out) but if you got an old one already you don't need to upgrade.
depends... if you are an mobile pro gamer then maybe. Very Happy

I'm upgrading my old S3, because I let it fall and now the power button doesn't work as intended
going for S5 dual, as it is the last galaxy with removable battery and SD card, the S7 here costs 800eur, not worth it

S7 does have SD card slot. I'm using a downpayment plan. Doesn't end up being all that much more expensive after 2 years. Pretty ok deal if you ask me.

What a waste of money... guys, really? The value you get from the money is shit from these phones, they'll be obsolete in no time. And even then, what kinda stuff are you going to do with the phone to use that horsepower? Play Gods of Egypt?

Come on, get real.

Anybody with an S7 (NOT THE EDGE ONE that's all over the frigging Google) has bought an official Clear Cover case?...because i've got an S7 with a "Muvit" cover and the edges of the screen have the cover risen over the edges and it's pretty annoying..

This is how it looks on mine

I don't know if the Official one's edges of it's cover are lowered so that you can swipe the finger easily without it's annoying border.

If someone has it, can ya do photos of the phone from a side and from a side-air view to see how it looks like?

And i've tried Youtube, but it only shows mostly the EDGE one... And google only shows non-official covers. Also one vid shows such S7 clear cover.. But the uploader didn't had the phone (and those who have the phone didn't yet had the BALLS) to show off how it looks like when it's on..

PS: I'm talking about THIS ONE SPECIFICALLY http://www.samsung.com/es/consumer/mobile-devices/accessories/case/EF-QG930CBEGWW

Fun fact is that the Clear View Cover one for the Regular S7's borders.. ARE LOWERED... 1:40 here

Waste of money? man, i have a s2 which has become sluggish and simply problematic with random stuff just not working. It was about damn time to get a new phone.

You can get a chinese phone that performs better for like half the price. But I know norwegian customs may be assholes.

http://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-mi516gb for example. It's probably the best model out there right now, and it destroys the S7. They'll even let you root your device if you send a request form to them.

http://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-3-pro is also a particularly a sweet telephone if you're looking for something cheaper.

But hey, it's chinese dodgy shit right? Laughing

You did read what i wrote earlier right? I can't afford a phone just like that. I use a downpayment plan over 2 years. And it honestly don't get all that much more expensive overall. It's a good deal if you ask me. But if i could, i would probably buy one of those if they are as good as you say and don't fall apart after half a year.

I bought the oneplus x some time ago and it's still working quite nice today just as the day I got it (I think 3-4 months ago).
But I do see your point, you've got an old S2 which needs replacing and since you don't change phones as often and plan to have it for a long time then you're doing a good purchase.

It's a good phone and it's cheaper than the S7, but where does it destroy the S7? You mean with it's inferior camera that has more megapixels?! The 1080p LCD display, compared to the best 1440p amoled screen on the marked? The Snapdragon 820 with thermal throttling issues compared to the european Galaxy S7 version with 8 core exynos?

Depending on what you require it might compete against the Galaxy S6, but there you won't have the advantage of the price anymore, because the S6 has dropped significantly in price.

Yep, i honestly don't have the need to switch phones every year or every second year. I use it until it becomes a hassle. And now, it's a hassle.

Just cut down the old one to a nano-sized chip until you get the new one. Cool
A boxcutter and a steady hand should do just fine. ^.^

I got one and while I initially liked it compared to my iPhone 6, and while it is the first Android phone i've owned that I feel is up to Apple quality levels - The software optimization on the snapdragon version of the S7 blows right now. There are a number of games that either don't run at all, or run like shit on the US S7. XCOM has graphics bugs and is unplayable, and many games are a stutter fest. My iPhone 6 ran stuff better. Truly disappointing given the hardware in this thing. I'm going to hold onto the phone because I love it so much otherwise and hope they fix the optimization issues, but it's definitely a disappointment.

Apparently a lot of it has to do with Android 6. A lot of people with devices that have upgraded to 6 have noticed a lot of apps run like shit in 6. I know it's not the hardware because some games run great on the S7 like world of tanks or GTA:SA.

Bought S7 along with Clear View Case, love it. Seems that Samsung has finally sorted out their bloatware crap, pretty much none now. Damn the camera is really good now, absolutely stunning shots you can make with this with just pressing button Very Happy.

Do you guys recommend screen protector? What i have seen this latest iteration of Corning Gorilla Glass seems to withstand shitloads of abuse, i dont put phone to same pocket with keys and lighters etc... Im just worried about the clearview case, S6 and S6 edge clearview case was scratching the screens -.-

I always put a glass tempered screen protector on my phone. It's like 5-10 Euro's and it's protecting your very expensive phone Smile Even if you have gorilla glass, sand or something sharp will scratch your screen!

Did anyone go from G3 (or something comparable) to the S7? How big is the difference if you compare camera, speed and screen sexyness? Is it a ~350 euros difference?

Just got an S7 Edge (EU with Exynos) and Gear VR.

Holy shit this is one nice piece of hardware. Can`t find anything i don`t like about it.

Gear is also IMO really impressive and awesome, sure it`s lacking in super awesome games but there are some cool ones and the Oculus Theatre is just beyond cool.

"The void" especially! Love that you can reposition the screen anywhere you like.

And the fact that there are no wires and you can take it everywhere...

I always have something to complain about but i got nothing on this, phone is excellent and the Gear is cool as hell, although heavy on the nose i could still watch a 2hr movie without it being to bad. Use the void and lie down, reposition and enjoy Very Happy

High quality video files are required tho, 1080p BD rip for a 2hr movie should be at least 3-4GB for it to be good, and you should go higher if you can..

It's sexier. My sis in law had the G3. Just the fact that you will be free of post processed sharpening and amoled makes the screen look 10 times better. Also it runs much cooler and doesn't shut down because of heat Laughing It's much faster and the OS is running very fluid and the camera is much better too, also video recording at 60fps is just something that you won't give up after experiencing it Smile

Reverted back to iPhone after a few months. Every time I make the switch back and use iOS again i'm always shocked as to how much more responsive iOS feels doing normal things compared to Android. As good as the S7 was for me there is just something that I prefer about iOS.
