Hate it. It's a relic of a time when nothing else could be done technologically. A full-on immersion killer, be it strategy, exploration, "combat", RPG, etc. The only acceptable for me is very high-level strategy games (Risk-based, such as Total War, etc.)

I really dont agree - but we all have different taste
The "WeGo" system in Combat Mission is without any doubt THE best way to play strategy ive ever experienced (WeGo = Both sides gives orders to all units, then its 60sec gameplay where you cant interact other than fast forward/rewind etc).
Will probably be a shitty game since GW give the WH40K licence to all crappy developers and their moms
Have you seen their steam page? They are putting in some effort, these are pros. I mean, at least artistically, this is on point! And the teaser gives me a boner, I have watched it 5 times now.
EDIT: Also didn't they give the license to the creators of EYE Divine Cybermancy for the FPS they made? On paper that had the potential to be a smash hit and a landmark shooter. Too bad they couldn't really overcome the problem of the slow movement versus the fast enemies I guess.
That teaser was fucking cool, got even shivers... But turn based strategy :/ One would have thought from that teaser that its some brutal ass kicking action shit.

It's virtually line 2 of the template:
Genre: Turnbased Strategy
Looks surprisingly good! I was expecting really clunky, bad looking game so I was very pleasently surprised...
This. W40K lately is rather miss than hit when it comes to games.

looks pretty cool, surprised games workshop has fucked this franchise on the PC so badly. Why not just make a light version of the tabletop game and sell units in game at the same retarded prices they sell the models for? They could be killing it.
Today is a blessed day indeed.
We've worked many hours, too many hours, but that's irrelevant in the 41st Millennium, we will die to bring you the work of the Omnissiah.
Today we launch our Pre-Order for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, and we also share with you that the 15th November 2018 is the date we release to the world.
The journey has been a long one so far, and we’re far from the end. We’re looking well beyond the release date, due to the overwhelming feedback and delicious comments we’ve heard from the fans since we announced in Feb this year.
If we still had our parotid, submandibular, and sublingual glands we’d join you in what you’re doing right now.
So far it's really, really good Lots of customization, combat mechanics seems solid, it's really polished in terms of UI/animations/general feel and has superb atmosphere. I also like that exploration element where you have to decide between risk-reward. Anyway - first impression is fucking great! For the Emperor!
Fun game but is it possible to get necron awakaning under 3% per mission?
