Boredom.
Just think of the average internet user. Now think what he spends time with: facebook, casual games, posts about cats, youtube videos. The average internet user spends more and more time consuming on the net, however we know people are idiots, and thus they consume a lot of trash.
They are bored, they look at this guys videos, which is on the same level of funny as that cat gif. They don't have to worry about how to spend those 10 minutes.
If you thought the internet would make the world better, you were wrong. It changed nothing. Idiots are still idiots. Only now they can like eachothers shit on facebook.

There was a time when I would search YT for normal walkthroughs and have dozens of choices. Now I'm lucky to find even a single walkthrough which isn't a lets play. 
1 and 2 are still amazing.

He can earn as much as he wants, doesn't bother me, but I will say that I'm disappointed that drivel like that gets that much attention and is that popular.
Then again when I look at people in general (and it gets worse when age drops) what the average is and it shouldn't be a surprise. World is getting dumber by the years. Sad part is that I'm not that intelligent and always considered myself to be the average, yet most are even dumber than that
But yeah look at what people put their time in, it's even worse than that dumb gaming they told us when we were little.

Anywho, why make it into a single reason why people dislike the channel? You're smart enough to know it's not or only about jealousy or him being successful. So don't make it into a simplified version just to hit some chins.

My problem is that more people are getting into this LP nonsense and so instead of finding a normal walkthrough all I see is some fool yammering away and sometimes even muting the game itself 
1 and 2 are still amazing.
