I miss enermax in PSU section as i remember they have the best PSUs out there.
I have mine Liberty 620 for 7 years still going strong. I tested it and the specs are of by 10% thats great for an old PSU. If ure buying new PSU i would recommend the best PSU on the market, dont skimp, reliable PSU is the most important part of any comp, all the components will last longer because of it.
Enermax no longer build PSUs themselves and yours was one of the last to be a true Enermax unit. Everything they put out nowadays barely makes 80+ certification (and 7 years ago, they didn't at all with 90% of their units) and is usually made by CWT (there's some SirTec as well, and I think even some FSP). Yours is from the time CoolerMaster were still good as well, that's no longer the case either.
They've become a dodgy brand if I'm honest, they can't keep up anymore and haven't been able to for several years. The new units are not as bad as some other brands, but not worth their price compared to their competitors.

I don t see how u can say they r a dodgy brand, If they have a good quality control and premium components its not important who builds for them. I hate that none of their PSUs is fully modular. I have a friend that sells computer parts and he said that Enermax has the lowest failure rate of all the brands and he sells Enermax, Seasonic, Antec, Corsair, Silverstone and LC power.
Their new platinex PSUs are the best on the market now if u believe online reviews. According to those reviews their efficiency at 50% load is 93-94% and at full load 90-91%.
O... and by the way no one; for the love of whatever; buy LC power PSUs they r shit. I call them room warmers.
That's full load, where's your figures for 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%? And I assume that's under the same bullshit conditions as the 80+ certification itself (22 degrees ambient temperature)? And no, they don't ever hit 94% efficiency with their Platimax units, at least not that I have seen.
Their Platimax (not Platinex) 1200W unit last year was aweful, didn't meet the 80+ Platinum marks under realistic conditions (Jonny did a review, look it up). Quite a bit of ripple as well IIRC. And if you look at their boxes, that shows enough of how much the brand has degraded, they list all kinds of made-up bullshit on them. 89 PLUS ready? High Compatibility Ready? World Ready? DXXI (funky way for them to say "DX11") ready? And more nonsense like that.
They're more expensive than Seasonic, but not as good in quality; and Seasonic is already relatively expensive. Again, they're not bad but they're not worth their price.
Also keep in mind that you shouldn't really give two shits about efficiency at 50%; it's < 30% and >60% where you want it to be efficient, as that's where your computer sits 90% of the time that it's on (under 30 during regular usage, above 60 during games), you rarely sit at that 50% mark. That's why you don't go for twice your maximum; with your logic, you're sitting at 75% efficiency (or worse) for most of the time your PC is on.

I stand at 80% under full load, but i have 5 years old board and 3 years old procesor, graphic card is the only thing that I bought last year. But I will buy new comp next month. I will probably buy seasonic for its full modular cabling so no enermax this time.
If u look at the efficiency curves, at 50% load the efficiency is the highest for all the PSUs so thats why I gave that figure, if u buy the PSU that has ok 80% overhead u could look at the best efficiency. Because when u have the biggest drain it would move in that 45-70% load range. But I do know that the lowest efficiency is under 20-30% load so it depends what u use in your comp.
