People actually believe that Google did this to improve their comment system... They did this so they can offer targeted ads so they can get more money from advertisers. When it's the same account, DoNotTrack rules to not apply. The more "services" they amass on the same account, the more they can target you with ads.
Bravo Google. When I'm logged into my google mail account, now I'm automatically logged to youtube with my real name. Though I can choose to comment from my original account of which I have two iterations but I don't have my subscriptions although they all seem to be connected...
