On my Bravo if I put in a gear on a hill, it automatically does not roll backwards. I don't know what type of magic that is, but it is great Just put in the gear and slowly let go of the clutch. You'll feel how the brakes are slowly released and the car just goes uphill
my opel does the same thing , but is Automatic

I'm raging so hard. The new Golf 7 doesn't have an emergency parking brake. It has an automatic electronic parking break. It activates on hills and on traffic lights.. There is no option of getting the good old stick back
The alternative is Seat Leon.

Well, i didn't drive much, but i have some problems too.
It's hard for me to use half clutch, i fail like every 2 of 5 times.
There are many places in my town where you need to stop uphill.
I do everything else perfect, but half clutch is trolling me hard. (i know i can use handbrake too, but mine need extreme force to be pushed, sometimes i even use my 2 hands lol)
Release the clutch until you feel the revs drop slightly and then just go from break to gas with your other lag, how hard can it be?
Won't ever roll down if done like that and no need for handbrake.

Just put in the gear and slowly let go of the clutch. You'll feel how the brakes are slowly released and the car just goes uphill
