One of the most underrated games ever, a true "pre-next-gen era" gem, without all the recent bastardizations affecting the gameplay...Dishonored can't come soon enough

It's also a great example of PC being primary and the game being ported to the consoles afterwards. This allowed the developer to code the game without restrictions and can then tailor the game to lower-specced platforms afterwards. Mix the combat of DM with the multi-path exploration and problem solving of Deus Ex and the arcana of Arx Fatalis... and Dishonoured sounds like it's going to kick some ass |
Indeed

I just want open-world Dark Messiah with Dead Island-esque dismembering. Cutting off some Goblin's arms and watching him try to kick you? Yes, please!

Exempt good gameplay, I think it was first game that demonstrated HDR lightning in its full glory.

Just finished downloading, so while the rest of the First World is hammering steam, I'll be playing DMoMM |
I think that soon I'll be joining you as well

Some textures are muddy, but overall... yes, I'd say it still holds its own graphically. It was pretty advanced for the time.

I heard about a memory leak too, but I don't recall that ever happening to me on 7x64.

I gave it a quick try before, and I have to say that the game has aged very well, you'll definitely enjoy it a lot!

Damn this game was sweet..or in the words of that Dead Space 3 dude - super awesome. Closest thing to this gameplaywise right now seems to be Dishonored, though this is one game I really wouldnt mind if it got a sequel.

Reinstalled on Win 7 x64 , updated game to 1.2.
After a couple of hours playing. A few problems so far.
1. Numerous lagging and stuttering whilst loading new areas.
2.About three random crashes to desktop MM.exe has stopped working message pops up.
It is also far more linear than I remember.
Also how the chuff do I sheath my weapon?
