The best thing with the PS5 is the controller, it's the best controller ever made imo, the games, the system itself, pretty garbage. Mine broke very early on, often doesn't eject the disc so i have to open it up.
I always buy disc version of games so i can sell them. So yeah, i can understand why they don't want people to do that...
Controller is good but that battery.. i dont know what the fuck they put in it. Xbox controller lasts a few weeks, ps5 3-4 hours if you're lucky
Worst console generation in a long time. Now 30 fps is gonna be standard and if you want 60 you're gonna have to pay $700
But the worst thing about this gen was just a lack of good games. Mostly junk and remakes
Sorry that I am going to be the "devil's advocate" but as long there's going to be games that will push and push graphics advances we are going to see more and more games that will push "regular" PS5 to it's limits, so it's not gonna come at surprise that you will have stronger hardware to balance the performances, at least for certain kind of games.
Consoles became more and more like PC, and the line is blurred, there is a reason I personally decided to stay on PC this gen, save for buying dual senses.

Nobody stops you from attaching the PS5 slim disc drive though. Of course it's not free but Sony doesn't actually STOP you from using discs.

its already way too expensive, and then a separate (lol) disc drive. That's not gonna sell, it just isn't. people who buy PS5 pro aren't people on my level who sell their old games, it'll be rich people who wouldn't care about selling their old games anyways.

Well we've reached very diminished returns. You can push the PS5 to its limits and get 30-40 fps. OR. Get to 75-90% and hit 60 without an issue and the graphics are PLENTY good enough. Again.. it's a distraction from the overall lack of game library of this gen. The PS4 Pro was understandable because the PS4 hardware was trash and at launch could barely handle its launch library at decent frame rates. The standard PS5 had NO issue hitting 60 with graphically nice games like Demons Souls 3 (amazing looking game) God of War, Spiderman, Horizon etc.
Add on top of the shit sundae that they're charging another 100$ for a disc drive and 29$ for a fucking plastic stand

Not saying Sony is great and PS5 Pro is amazing and so is it price but seems to me most people that are against it are people that just think "it's too expensive".
Because people on YouTube who thought it would be 550 euros are disappointed that it's actually 800 euros, then, it's cool to say "it sucks".
Yet, the same people are praising PC master race because of its power, and the price doesn't matter here.
For me you cannot currently judge it yet unless somebody finds me games that will run better or identically on a 800 euros PC. Then we can say it sucks.

its because its fucking 800 dollars, almost double the price of a ps4 pro.
its the same like with graphic cards, people will be mad about it, tell others how they only buy AMD in the future, or wait till the prices are better and so on. In the end no one is complaining anymore and people buy it and it will be the same here. still people are outraged which is fine, why should't they?

For me the wrong claims are the worst. I already bought the normal PS5 for high frames gaming since it was advertised for that. Of course this wasn't possible most of the time and only with older games and i doubt it will be possible here. i bet it will still dip down from time to time under 60, you will still have to use performance mode to really have stable frames and so on, Games will not be optimized for it since many people will not buy it (like PSVR2) and so on. In my case it will not be worth the money, i got the money, i could also sell the old one right now so it would be cheaper, but i really don't care for that kind of money, its just not worth it (to me) even tho i love high fps gaming. I rather play with stutters then. Maybe its because im getting old and just don't care anymore, no game is worth that kind of money. That is also the reason i will never buy a high price GPU again, its just the same there.

Grabbed myself a Pro and a 30th Anniversary DualSense controller. I was there 30 years ago buying the original PlayStation so there was no way I wasn't going to buy the Pro and something from the 30th collection.
The ordering system was a bit fucked up here in the UK, lot of waiting, along with issues with Sony's payment processing (Amazon they ain't) but managed to get it after a couple hours of queuing.
sadly I missed the 30th anniversary Pro because of scalpers even though I was in queue almost as soon it opened. Did you get a regular pro gibman or the 30th anniversary pro ?

I managed to get into Sony Direct about 15 minutes after it opened for sales and all the 30th's had gone, Pro and Slim. I doubt the UK even got many and they would have been snapped up by whoever was first in the annoying random queue lottery.
Happy to get a regular Pro really. Surprised to still see them there today but it's very good that stock is exceeding demand for those who want one. It will also screw any scalpers who grabbed a load of the regular Pro's yesterday with the plan of reselling!
