The Fallout games have dark, cynical humor and the games are set in a dystopian, desolate post apocalyptic world. Outer worlds is just goofy the writers believe it's the funiest thing ever.
There was a difference in tone between these two franchises from the get-go. The Outer Worlds always wanted to be goofy, nothing wrong with that. But don't tell Fallout 2 wasn't plenty goofy itself. The Fallout series took a different approach with the 2nd game and it never let that go.

I think I'm at the later stages of the game, not finished yet and so far I haven't felt like the game was guiding me a certain way. You got 3 major very radical different factions. "Unchecked corporatism" "Unchecked government power" "Unchecked science worship"
All three have valid arguments against one another but take their views WAAAAAAAAAAAY too far. I think it's competently written, nothing that will bend your mind but I don't think that was the goal here, it's goofy entertainment that makes fun of everybody.
But Since I am not American or Americanized I really don't give a shit or see it as an affront to some ideology I adopted like a sports team.
Take it easy, men. And don't let interweb trolls turn you into a reactionary bot, that's what makes them money. We've been online too long to start falling for basic tricks like that.

Not many americans here, but take your shit elsewhere. People have opinons and you don't have to like them, but on a board with people from all walks of life, you got to deal with it.
