I get handsome stuff to. Not cute or adorable tho. Ive been told i have 'rugged good looks'. Im not a pretty boy at all.
And trust me, 9 times outta 10, the girl hittin on me isnt worth much more than a one nighter. Pure hood rats and club rats and shit.
Its not like i have hot, intelligent, grounded, independent, mature women hittin on me. |
You need to go where these women hang out, then they will be hitting on you. |
where do those types of women hang out?
besides whistler

Yea, there is lots in whistler but they are just beautiful, I don't know about the mature, grounded part tho.
I am not really one to talk but I think maybe they hang out in gyms, pools, lecture halls, through work can be a good place.
We were talking about your pool/gym in the PM. Your gym pool sounds like mine. Most of the people there in the morings are their because physio, have disabilities or rather more PC less-abled, elderly or older immigrants who are very nice but speak very broken english. We use our hands when we talk and we know exactly what each other is saying. But still I am sure at some point someone worth wild will show up. There is also the staff at the gym.
Maybe even some volunteer work. Hospitals. I also had huge respect for the volunteers that would read to the older patients. You would have to dress a bit tamer tho, dreads tied back and no spiked collar. Some of those older folk are hilirious, they things they say. There are reading positions, wheeling them around positions, working in the gift shop. There is a huge list. Maybe you could volunteer your martial arts to some womens group or even get paid for 1 night a week at a community center.
These are all probably stupid suggestions.

No, those are all good suggestions. Just, I hate the hospital. Bad memories. Ive never liked being around sick people and dying people. It depresses me so much/
As for meeting women through martial arts...thats an ethical grey area. Instructors aret supposed to mess with their students. Just like you wouldnt date your doctor or dentist or therapist right.
And I do teach women's self defense from time to time. Occasionally someone will hold a seminar and they'll call me to help instruct and demonstrate.
I dont know why they call it womens self defense. When I teach women, i teach the same thing i'd teach a guy, just im more gentle when i demonstrate the move and such.
A pressure point is a pressure point, whether or not your a man or woman.
And women can be dangerous fighters. Ive met a few women when i was competing who were fuckin tough girls...but they look like sweet country girls. The iirish women's team had some really hot women team members, and they were dangerous
If your into fitness, you should check out martial arts. Not 'women's' martial arts either. A real style. Im biased when it comes to styles and i favour hapkido...to be honest, its the most well rounded art...ju jitsu, shotokan, chito ryu, tae kwon do etc arent practical for real life self defense.
Why try to kick someone in the head and punch them when you could throw a short kick to the knee, break it and at the same time an open handed strike to the throat.
Sorry, I ramble on and on when im talking about fighting. Its one thing i can safely say i have a good understanding of.

How about taking a class or something. Maybe pretty girls hang out in the evening doing pottery, like the Ghost movie. Fuck you can even try on-line dating crap. People seem to be getting laid of that shit.
Martial arts, I don’t think I have the time for that. I am sure I get in enough exersize as it is. I still have that cold right now but when it is done I will be back to 1 hr of cardio, some weights, and I do lengths for about 1 hr now and other stuff. I have had to ditch my friend a bit because she is a bit distracting and I can’t manage my time well with her around. You go to the mall for what is suppose to be a 10 min stop and she has to look at every single store and she is so so slow. I friggen hate shopping. I know what I want, I go in and grab it and I am back out as fast as possible. I think I am going to tell her I will drive her around 1 day a week only. Plan it out ahead of time.
Martial arts is loud too isn’t it? There is yelling and stuff and I don’t like that. I think I would like the kick boxing though. I don't like hitting at people and I try to avoid it.
I would go for the side of the knee, I think. Collapse it that way. Then when they were on the ground you could step on their throat or you could just walk away. It isn't like they could follow you with a knee like that. yep

I can ask a girl out. No problem. The problem is that she don't like me much Being pretty is part of it. And pretty I ain't. You gotta have the looks and then have the charm. Before you open your mouth the girl looks at you and then sees if she wants to listen. If you're not much to look at, you can have Aaron Eckhart's charisma in Thank you for smoking, and it still won't help
Y’know what I mean? You gots to be attractive. I get pity compliments. I do. I’m used to them. But really… I want to meet at least one super honest girl who’ll tell me everything I need to change so I can be attractive. Being yourself sucks when you gotta buy a new mirror every morning.
And syco, you still get the looks / stares what do I get? quick glances |
Uh, I dont think I get stares in a good way my friend. Well, maybe from some girls but not from normal ones...especially not ones my age.

Awesome, you shop like a guy
Seriously tho, I hate browsing around for shit aimlessly. Its one of the most annoying things someone can make me do. My exwife used to kill it with her fuckin shoe shopping. Every pair in the store had to be tried on...ridiculous.
I know what I want before i go to the store and when i go, im in and out. Well, thats not really true still...i went to the store for chocolate milk today and came back with egg nog
Martial arts isnt loud...sure you...i dont know how to spell the word, phonetically (?) its Key-i (i as in eye). Anyway, you do make noise, but its not about screaming your head off. Thats more for the big clubs who try to put on displays while the teach....
When I say learn martial arts, I mean find a small club with an instructor who takes teaching seriously and learn away.
Big clubs suck. Thats why i refuse to teach out of a club and more than a few people. I can only train 2 or 3 people effectivly...anymore and i'd spread myself too thin.
Btw, where do you think 'kick boxing' gets its influence from? traditional korean martial arts like hapkido and tang su do
Just with kick boxing, you dont learn the good stuff...like joint locks, traps, throws, pressure points etc Why short change yourself?

Naw man.
I wear ALOT of spikes and chains Sometimes i'll rock my 5 inch spike necklace with like 5 or 6 (depending on my shirt) spike bracelets/arm bands.
I wear spikes around my shins (under my pants, more for self defense). I have big ass chains that are connected around my belt...bandana, usually a band shirt and black jeans...usually unshaven...
trust me, i get my share of 'wtf, look at that dude' look. Doesnt bother me...I like wearing my spikes and chains

If I am going to go shopping or looking I go alone. I only go shopping if I need something. I know the shops I like. I walk up to the sales girl and tell her exactly what I want . If she is any good she will show me exactly where it is. I can’t stand looking around at all the ugly stuff. Even if it is cheap and I don’t need it, I won’t buy it. Waste of money. A shoe store; I know if I want to try something on in about 3 minutes. That is how fast I make up my mind.
My girlfriend Jen did a kickboxing thing a while back in my area. I don’t think it was as good as you described. I got to meet the teacher. He totally liked her.
Yea, I know nothing about fighting. I just like the idea of kickboxing, but that is the only thing I have ever been exposed to. I guess if you wanted to defend yourself joint locks and traps and pressure points would be good to know.

Well, I'd go shopping with you
Kick boxing isnt bad...but its not for self defense. As a workout, yeah, it'll do you good. But for real self defense, its not practical.
No one squares off in a fight. People rush you. Throwing a punch isnt always possible when someone's tryin to land a haymaker. Its much easier to move into the arm, block on the insides, slide your hands down to the throat and squeeze all the while breaking/kicking the knee while you do it.
A real fight shouldnt last longer than one or 2 move combos.
Self defense is all about grace and being fluid and smooth and relaxed. Staying loose is the key to surviving a fight. The body takes alot more pain when you stay loose...but it takes alot of training to be able to control yourself in a fight.
I get completely calm and focused in a fight, yet when i lose my lighter or misplace something, i fly of the handle
I think u'd be good at hapkido. You dont seem like your a frail girl and your short (if i recall correctly). Hapkido was made for short people Im only 5'8, 150-160lbs, but i can toss a 200lber easy...its all technique and application

I wouldn’t take you shopping with me. Seriously I hate dragging people around, even if it is a small drag. I don’t know if this is odd or not but I thought this was a brilliant idea. The 2 main grocery stores I buy from, I got a photocopied floor plan from on of the shelf stockers. I make a list, check out the floor plan and I am very fast. I wonder if it is online too.
Now I am kinda intrigued with this fighting business. And no I am not frail per say. I just can’t go for a huge wipe out fall without breaking something. Even though I have massive looking bone structure. I am 5,4. And I am not really completive. I enjoy sports that I can do myself, and on my own. It is always good to try something new though.
BTW This loosing of the lighter business, you didn’t lose it, someone fucking took it.

Nono, its much more ridiculous than that. I mean I will have my lighter in my hand, light a smoke, put my hand down and the fuckin thing disappears and then will reappear in some weird ass place i know i didnt put it. Either im losing my mind or something is fucked in my house.
It happens alot with my keys too. I will put them somewhere specific, then go to use them and they wont be there...
I cant take that shit you know? It makes me so fuckin angry because i know where i put it and its not there...its infuriating.
Fighting is alot more than just hitting someone. Believe it or not, to be an effective fighter, you have to be intelligent and have great reflexes (you can develop those tho).
Its a great work out and its something practical. You never know when you'll have to defend yourself or someone you care about.
Thats what got me into martial arts. I didnt like not being able to not defend myself and my friends at school when the older kids picked on us.
And all that pacifist stuff (im not saying your a pacifist, just in general) is bullshit in my opinion. I dont look for fights...well, sometimes I do still. But my point is there are going to be times in your life when your going to have to physically defend yourself. Being prepared is good in my view.
I'd go shopping with you to spend time with you You wouldnt be draggin me anywhere
But, if you took longer than an hour browsing...i'd go back out to the car and chill
My legs are sore

I always lose the lighter down the couch. You want to hear something funny about misplacing things. Once I couldn’t find the remote. I looked everywhere for it. I found it the next morning in the fridge. haha
Well usually I don’t put myself in positions where I need to defend myself. I have a guardian angel I think. Well sometimes the crack heads can be kinda scary because they are wiggin out and you don’t want to fight them. Dirty needles and shit. They hold people up around here with AID’s needles. You don’t want their blood on you, end up with crabs or scabies or lice too. Nasty stuff.
If I go anywhere at night I carry bear spray. Yea I am pretty much a pacifist. I have surprise on my side too because I am quiet and gentle so I think people are surprised that I can defend my self quite well. I only hit one person in the face and that was that stalker guy an that was because he put his hands on me. He was shocked but got pissed off pretty fast, than I ran like hell.
Yea, an hour for browsing? It will never happen. And you would sit in the car, no way. Find yourself a sport bar, watch TV and have a beer. |
Lighter in the fridge eh?
Still, you never know. Sometimes trouble finds you and when that time comes, its good to be prepared. It happens to everyone atleast once in their adult life i'd say. still, for women, its more mild. Women arent as aggressive as guys...or rather, they dont throw the same kind of techniques guys do.
You wouldnt be pissed if you and I were out shopping, I got bored and said I was going to the bar/grill in the mall (as an example) and meet me there when your done?

ooo...I hate those kinda people
My one friend is like that. He'll ask you use your lighter even if he has one and then pockets it right away. Doesnt happen with me anymore, but there has been times where hes takin my only lighter and Ive had to resort to matches and a candle to light my bongs

hehehehe
It's a natural reaction to stick a lighter in your pocket after you use it, I swear |
yeah yeah
Thats exactly what my friend says to. You people just love to horde the lighters I think.
Are you like my friend? Do you turn around and sell lighters you pocket for a dollar?

Just a Q'....
with all the lighters and shit... anyone here intentionally burnt themselves?
I don’t smoke anymore but I still buy lighters and I occasionally burn my self. I love the smell of singed hair. Any of you play around with the lighter? Or you guys just use it for what it’s made it be used for?

I fiddle with it...but i cant say Ive ever burned myself on purpose. I have used a lighter to clean a cut...you know, you hold a flame to a cut to clean it and make it stop bleeding.

Why would you ever do that? Wash it in soap and water apply pressure to stop bleeding. If it isn't clotting throw some flour on it.
