You know, even if that was the ending presented, and it would have been had SciFi (now SyFy) hadn't payed for the rest of the season after the writers strike, it would have been hell of a lot better than Lost. Galactica has never been about spoon feeding you with happy endings (ala the cop-out bullshit Lost finale that had to make all silly American derps feel happy) or the most convenient solutions to shut up people who have an attention span of more than 2-3 episodes.
Galactica in the end answered most of its loose ends (those that weren't answered will eventually be answered in Caprica), and even if some of the explanations were not to your liking (some weren't to mine either), there is just no room for comparison with Lost.

You keep on marvel me with your power of reasoning and argumentation, that line where you say "did the cylons won?" really demonstrates how limited your thought process is.

Lost 2 ? Laughing

EXCLUSIVE: Big news for Lost fans: series co-star Jorge Garcia has joined another J.J. Abrams drama about an island. Garcia is set to play a lead on the Fox pilot Alcatraz, which is executive produced by Lost co-creator/executive producer Abrams.

The project, described to be "about secrets and the most infamous prison of all time," centers on a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who reappear in the present day. It chronicles the efforts of a team of FBI agents to track them down and unravel the mystery behind their disappearance thirty years prior. Garcia will play the hippy geek Dr. Diego Soto, the world's foremost expert on Alcatraz.

Actor-comedian Garcia, who landed his first TV series role on the CBS comedy Becker, rose to fame as one of the key cast members on ABC's hit drama Lost. He was the first actor cast in the Lost pilot, just like he is now on Alcatraz. The role of Hugo "Hurley" Reyes on Lost was tailor-made for him. Similarly, he was the first and only actor the producers of Alcatraz approached for the role of Dr. Soto. Garcia, repped by APA and KLWG Entertainment, guest stars on the Thanksgiving episode of CBS' comedy How I Met Your Mother tomorrow night. He will also appear in an episode of ABC's midseason comedy Mr. Sunshine. Garcia is the third Lost cast member eyeing return to primetime this season in a new drama series executive produced by Abrams. Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn star as former special ops agents in the project Odd Jobs, which landed at NBC with a put pilot commitment.

Alcatraz was written on spec by Elizabeth Sarnoff, who penned the final version, and Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, who wrote earlier incarnations. The project, from Abrams' Bad Robot Prods. and Warner Bros. TV, was bought by Fox with a pilot commitment in mid-September, and greenlighted to pilot a week later. Sarnoff serves as showrunner and executive produces with Abrams and Bryan Burk. Lilien and Wynbrandt will co-executive produce and Danny Cannon will direct the pilot, which is slated to begin in January in San Francisco and Vancouver.

Why? JJ Abrams had nothing to do with LOST. If you hate LOST, JJ had nothing to do with its shortcomings. If you actually like LOST, JJ had nothing to do with its positives. That is all.

After creating the characters, the overall storyline, and the first two episodes of Lost along with J.J. Abrams, Lindelof has taken over as the head writer of the show !1 Lindelof and that other guy can't remember his name.

Simple, he co-created the show, wrote the pilot, directed the pilot and served as executive producer on the show (ie, did nothing, got some credit for it).

After Alias, he has had very little to do with his TV shows other than the pilot - Fringe and Undercovers are the same.

Gawd we're talking about LOST? Get with it people -- its all about hunting the UNDEAD now. Smile Well, at least until the 2nd season starts. Sad

And Yep.. LOST had some amazing seasons but if the end of a book is garbage then WTF was the journey for? I can never forgive the LOST writers for the utter trite the ending became based on how much time I invested in watching the series over 7 years. They simply COULD NOT CLOSE THE DEAL on LOST in the final season.

Quote:
Lindelof and Cuse initially envisioned a finale in which Jack (Matthew Fox) and Smokey incarnate (Terry O’Quinn) would brawl over the fate of the island at Lost’s proverbial Mount Doom. “The volcano had been dormant for the duration of the series,” explains Lindelof, “but based on moving into this endgame, the island had become unstable and the volcano was going to erupt. We were going to have lots of seismic activity, and ultimately, there was going to be this big fight between the forces of good and the forces of evil, which ended up in the series manifesting as Jack and The Man in Black, in the midst of magma. Magma spewing everywhere!”

Sounds like we got the same thing (seismic activity and all) minus the actual volcano and magma to be honest.

What a snowflake Laughing

Good\great actors aren't afraid to challenge themselves and leave their comfort zone. A mediocre actor (like Evangelina Lilly) bitches about it instead.

It's the job of an actor to be put into uncomfortable situations sometimes. If as an actor you do only what you are comfortable with without leaving your comfort zone, you are a shitty, lazy wannabe actor who always wants to have it "safe" and cosy.

If she thought being an actress is to do only what you are comfortable with then she chose a wrong profession.

She kept quiet about it all these years, I bet she didn't even voice her concerns on the set when they filmed the first or second partially nude scene (no one would have fired her for this coz it would have affected the show) but now she decides to open her trap and ride the #metoo wave.
