Ah yes, the kindafaggy interview with greggy the console derpa, that was blown away with the concept of mods... when those appeared on his derpsole, ZOMG!111
Heard it yesterday on the background while working, the saddest part was that the only metric the toddster could come up for starfield's success was that it was a "gamepass played hours beast". That's it, that's the best they got

"People were just not ready for" Starfield, says game's composer as he talks "visionary" Todd Howard
"Starfield will eventually become... legendary... It's just a matter of time."
Starfield composer and long-time Bethesda collaborator Inon Zur has been discussing his decades-spanning work with the studio, sharing his thoughts on "visionary" Bethesda boss Todd Howard, as well as his belief that "people were just not ready for" 2023's divisive space adventure.
Zur's composition credits span an impressive number of game series, including Dragon Age, Crysis, Prince of Persia, and Starcraft. And he's been a regular presence across Bethesda's work too, composing for numerous Fallout games, as well as the likes of Starfield. Zur, speaking with RPGsite.net, recently discussed his relationship with the studio - how, while the team still provides direction for each project, they also "trust me to apply my judgment because they know me so well" - as well as working with Bethesda's Todd Howard.
"Todd is one, if not the most creative and invigorating human beings in the industry," Zur revealed. "He just doesn't stop. He always has new ideas. He always knows what he wants. He is very persuasive and has a very strong character. He will also find ways to describe what he wants without really calling it a name. He knows how to allow freedom of creativity on one hand, but also how to steer it to his own vision. He is a visionary. He sees things that people will start to find out years later."
And for Zur, that also applies to Starfield, which launched to a mixed reception back in 2023. "I believe people were just not ready for it," he continued. "It's a different way of looking at it, but Todd is really strong, and he said very, very lightly, 'Look, if you don't like it, then you don't like it, but this is the new thing that we're doing, and we're sticking to it.' He believes in his way, and it just has proven time and time again that eventually people will understand his vision."
"It just takes time and this is a common thing for all the big visionaries," Zur added. "Sometimes people really don't understand them correctly, but they were strong enough to stay on course, and Todd will stay on course on Starfield. Starfield will eventually become something that will be legendary. I have no doubt. It's just a matter of time."
Elsewhere in the interview, Zur discussed his approach to composing for video games, his thoughts on current game soundtracks, and more. As for Starfield, there's something brewing on that front following last year's Shattered Space DLC, although exactly what is currently unclear. Previous whispers had suggested the space adventure is due to receive a substantial update, but Howard recently moved to get expectations in check, saying that while Bethesda is "working on a lot of Starfield content" it's "not Starfield 2.0".
Wtf are they putting in the water over there?

The guy's job is to write music; he's probably never even played the game but is contractually obligated to dispense good words for anything his employer does, including completely lost causes like Starfail. Either that, or he's beyond delusional
Starfield gets even bigger on April 7 with its biggest free update yet, plus an all-new story DLC. Terran Armada introduces a brand-new questline packed with repeatable content and secrets to uncover, and the Free Lanes update brings changes and improvements to everything from space travel and New Game+ to gear, ship customization, outpost building, and much more. Get the full breakdown in this in-depth look with Lead Creative Producer Tim Lamb, Art Director Istvan Pely, and Design Director Emil Pagliarulo.
Not amused.
They're introducing FO76 like legendary weapon mods or whatever, also hyped up something that turns out to be a new player house (woohoo!).
Also mentions that the first few hours are pretty rough.
Not looking that promising, wankfielders

It's more than that, maybe the ginger cunt forgot this, but most of what they added is popular Mods or community demanded features, it's more than I expected.
Sure if anyone was going in thinking they would let you land on the planet or cross galaxies by yourself, nah they're not going to completely change their base game
"... if Starfield is something that didn’t connect with you right away, or you bounced off it, or found it boring in places, I don’t think this is going to change that fundamentally..."
some pretty cool mods for this, i fired it up before the patch breaks everything mostly because i'm at 120 hours on crimson and I wanted to do somethin' else for a bit and i saw the new trailer
In particular this one guys modding efforts are great if you just play this like a looter shooter
Dark Universe mods:

Retrograde introduces 150 procedurally generated space station dungeons through bounty missions and random encounters.
Takeover Adds 50 new procedurally generated Spacer Military Bases, supporting bounties.
Outlaws 01 adds 100 bounty-hunting quest chains to Starfield. Track down unique dangerous criminals each with their own story, motivations, and unique legendary loot.
Overtime offers a variety of tasks—ranging from space battles to Infestations, manufacturing, deliveries, and more. Adds over 300 new repeatable sandbox missions across over 65 types.
also shoved in bedlam which randomizes spawns and factions for more chaos and a few grindterra mods to make old POIs more interesting
I actually just need to finish the original game so i'm keeping things at that
there were a few interesting paid mods I saw too
Watchtower, an actual fleet battle mod for the end game
Smart containers, programmable factory stuffs
Modular Outposts: Argos Extrators for building outposts
can't say I'd ever pay for them though, paying for starfield was enough suffering
Watchtower can be very annoying quickly (many ship encounters), but for whoevers diving in, I agree and highly recommend to some of these:
- POI Cooldown (depends on if the new update fixes cooldowns)
- Bedlam (as above)
- Dark Universe (again)
- Scopes without Overlays
- Wicked Workshop (more build stuffs)
- Desolation (desolate plants, are in fact, desolate!)
- Real Sandy Deserts (underrated, removes a ton of rocks from sand based biomes, more in line with Dune)
- Shade's Immersive Looting (classic Beth loot)
- Complete Weather Overhaul
- couple gun mods, perks
- Functional Decor
- Horizon Station
- couple Sound Mods
- Matilija Aerospace (ship parts)
- Stroud Premium Edition
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
