TL:DW - Don't Buy a "Gaming Chair", most are ctrl-c ctrl-v of the same uncomfortable racing seat crap. Buy a nice office chair instead.

Just got the chair. It feels pretty amazing when sitting compared to my 6 year old DX Racer.

Have started to get some back pains when sitting on the DX Chair.

i agree with steve from gamers nexus, after getting a maxnomic gaming chair for free from work that retails like 499 , its garbage, superhard, shitty arm rests, very basic features

i think office chairs are the way to go, or even better, these cinema deluxe chairs

gaming chairs = scam

I have a cheapo gaming chair and the cushion is already totally dead after 1 year of usage, but at least it had soft arm rests... well the left one started to crack a little bit. Really cool!

You can sit on it for hours on end. It's great for my shitty back problems. I've never had a chair like it. Plus being 196cm, I can lean back and actually hit the headrest properly.

We were going to get one of those 'gaming' chairs until I tried sitting on a few. I'll stop at this point as I'm not supposed to say anything if I have nothing nice to say... but the price and comfort levels left a lot to be desired

I too read that the Markus are great but I tried it out and I just wasn't convinced that the net would be durable... couldn't have been worse than this POS I'm using right now Laughing

100% buy a proper reputable ergonomic office chair, you can always add rgb / retarded features to it.

For what's it worth, my Markus from 2016 is still in pristine conditions despite my seasoned arse abusing it every day for hours Very Happy
(I'm using a couple of pads as well in order to make it comfier since it's not exactly a master of softness, very good chair though!)

Don't go by this video. The gaming chairs they used look like they are falling apart and are nothing like a Secret Lab or Noble chair. He kicks it and it wobbles Laughing

Thinking of upgrading the ikea Markus.. I dont use armrests on it for years since these suck ass. The markus itself if fine.

What about secret lab titan evo 2022 ? The black or white fabric versions look pretty good.
It's apparently one of few gaming chairs that dont suck ass.

I knwo hurr durr Herman Miller huuurrrrr but it's 1500usd Rolling Eyes
The secretlab is already almost 600 euro holy fuck

https://secretlab.eu/products/titan-evo-2022-series?sku=XL22SW-ArcticWht

Which one you think looks better? Black or white? White would fit white ps5 and white keyboard but it's probably a dirt magnet

Nice one bro, gaming chairs are very nice, they are perfect for my back, gives hell of a bang for the buck. Have used AK Racing Premium V2 for like 5 years now, and it looks still like brand new, would love to get Herman Miller one, but i think the mesh would get fucked with doggies Very Happy. One thing i am wondering always, how the hell you can watch that big screen with that table and distance, i would get massive headache.

It was too big for first 2 days. Now it seems just like any regular monitor but awesome haha.
I know people shit on gaming chairs but this one is pretty sweat. Sure, it's 4x price of ikea markus but 4x less than herman miller

my 250 euros ikea chair broke down, after not even 2 years. before that i had multiple songmics chairs from amazon, which were ok but well, you need a new one every 2-3 years and they are not that comfortable. didn't want to buy another one of those.
Since i don't want a mesh back and also a high backrest, normal office chairs didn't really fit my needs. So even if i hate gaming chairs, this time i bought one, coming next week and i can't wait since for a week i sit on this shit now.

at first i was looking at the secret labs evo 2022, but in the end it's just another gaming chair with a higher price tag. so i went for something which is more like a mix between gaming and office chair, but for even more money, but at least i also got 10 years warranty with it. i hope it will be good.

Im using the herman miller aeron chair (with after market headrest) for work and a recliner for gaming. I hate gaming chairs. Gave mine away. Gaming chairs give me ass butter after 10 minutes.

Just in case someone here comes looking for a new, solid chair for a reasonable price, I bought this one (more of an office chair as I don't like the "gaming" ones) now almost 2 years ago and it still looks and feels the same as day 1. I'm glad that I chose it over the superpopular and not nearly as tweakable Ikea chairs for the same price.

Nice, now that's a good chair. The ergohuman is okay as a cheap option as well, but it will fall apart after 3-4 years.

Just to report back, don't buy the backforce one, while i can sit good in it and it has ergonomic features, it has design flaws like the armrests which are way too far forward and also very low quality and quality control.
It came with scratches and after a week it already made weird sounds. I didn't want to pay 40 euros for shipment to return it, so instead i asked for a replacement chair.
Waited two weeks for it, today they will pick up the old one without having me to disassemble it and get me a new one packed up.
I doubt the new one will be any better, if so they got one more try to repair it, then i can get my money back and they have to pay for the shipment back, which i hope will be the case.

Its not even worth 300-400 euros.

/edit the new chair has similar problems. they will pick it up tomorrow and i will get my money back, thank god.

/edit2
bought this one now https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08R39NHTF
synchro mechanism, seat depth adjustment, good armrests for around 230 euros i had to get it. yes it's from china and yes it may not be the best quality but for now it's totally worth the money.
the headrest was a little bit wobbly but i fixed it with some tape inside the mechanism, so it can't wiggle anymore. also there was a little scratch on the chrome back.

other then that no problems so far, the armrests are so nice, i can't believe the chair was so cheap, normally you pay at least 400 euros+ for the same features and quality.
