I beat it as kid but it was pretty hard (Well it's difficulty came down to had to from A > B > C > D etc, if you had the wrong order you would die. It was a masterpiece game of the time at literally 1 floppy disk worth of data.
Tank controls will never come back, I don't find them really any harder etc. Fixed perspective is kind of cool too as it add style/atmosphere to a game - too hard for todays gamer likely never come back.
Same with skill based movement which can be game genre in itself, like Classic Prince of Persia, Classic Tomb Raider etc, even shooters with Strafe Jump / Bunny Hop etc. this is just way to hard for 2023 gamers.
Big budget games are all becoming the same, homogenized, safe/boring writing, safe/boring samey mechanics, they are even copy pasting art styles a lot of the time. There are 2 games on the first nfohump pc game page i'm mildly interested in, this one and WH boltgun because it looks to play like Quake.
Odd that the title got amended to include the new release date but there is no update in the thread to get it bumped. Anyways it’s probably a good thing it got delayed to January 24th given how stacked October is. My wallet is happier too
If this means that they're gonna polish stuff and squash bugs (Unlike that mess of AITD game they made back then...The one that starts with a building on fire?) then sure, i don't mind waiting. There's a SHIT TON of stuff to do over here...

As long as they get to act out their characters with motion and face capture. I've found that if they're just voicing characters, they tend to "phone it in".

Pretty disappointing, why did they showcase the original game locations? then make an entirely different game that falls short of about any other release in this genre? They are marketing combat (which looks poor) where the original games albeit having combat were more puzzle focused.
