This game is the definiton of a time waster.
There is no skill involved, you just have to spend time to do stuff.

Had fun with it for 2 hours and then it goes downhill fast.

Indeed. It falls apart pretty quickly.

Not that this is uncommon for games at all, and i would say its unfortunately still the norm for most games... you only realize it if you've played some really good games where this isn't an issue at all, then you never want to go back to games like this.

Finished it, and it was fine since it didn't overstate it's welcome.

Quite simplistic and repetitive. Nothing to do, really, and I thought it would go further and bigger.
Nice for what it is, and a "proper" game with enough content, variety, challenges and story could make for a killer.
But this ain't it, chief.

A nice, refreshing little game nonetheless. 6/10

Sunless sea is the better game, if i had to chose. It also had better atmosphere imo.

Is there something else if you kind of liked this but wished for something a bit more expansive and with proper challenge, more open ended?

I don't think this game was ever meant to be challenging. It's more of an adventure than anything else.
