can't decide if i wanna buy this one right outta the gate, i loved AC4:A but there's nothing about AC6 that really speaks to me so far. i need goddamn mercenary modes or territory control mechanics for my mecha these days, not linear missions.
If I didn't care for any of FROM's previous titles, is there any chance at all of enjoying this one?
While I do enjoy mech combat, I just don't find the ludicrously punishing "skill level Asian" required stuff all that appealing (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc). Does this one have a lot of that crap, or is it kinda like its own beast?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

The Souls games has a built in difficulty system which can be tailored just to your taste, easy mode = grind, want hard mode - don't grind. This game will be much harder because i don't think it has something similar. I've watched 6-7 reviews and at least one mentioned it's harder than e.g Elden Ring.

I see, thanks! Looks like I'll be reinstalling MW5 Mercenaries and playing the now new (haven't played it since release) career mode instead.

For Starfield I'm going to download it on one PC and have it preloaded on the other. Since it's possible with decent internet now
Gotta do what you gotta do.
I on the other hand just got my ass handed to me by the first boss. Got him down like 15% What the fuck was that? Keeps nuking your ass with minimal windows to "safely" counterattack. Sucks ending the evening there, i'll try again tomorrow
I needed two tries for the tutorial boss, but that's cool. I think it's very important to teach you how to stay alive, and how the stagger mechanic works and how you need to use that tactically.
Anyone who complains about it being too hard just doesn't realize that it's super important to have an enemy like that early on that teaches you what you need to know.
If you'd just button mash past it without learning anything, you'd have much more trouble in subsequent missions
As for the game itself, loving it as well. It plays as I expected from the videos, which is, extremely satisfying.
Also just loving the whole style, the garage, customization, the audio and UI, everything. Beautiful stuff.

Did the game teach you that though, or did you just have to figure it out? I must have missed it entirely.
Seems every japanese game needs to have some garbage stagger mechanic these days
