My main gripe was the speed it blitzed through history, I can imagine it would be difficult to understand if you didn't already know what was going on.
Phoenix is horribly miscassed, and apart from some nice visuals (crowning scene), this was just garbage.

was an ok movie, didnt even feel the 3h and a half, damn if those action scenes werent epic, the scale of it and violence, makes me hopefull for gladiator 2
