We hope the new one will sort a hit a bigger crowd, personally I think its the nicest out so far. And its a sort a benchmark for all our new coming products.

It is also the first time ever a Lancer Evolution will be sold in Canada.[13]

that would probably hurt previous sales in Canada Wink .. hope they're not too expensive when the 2008 model goes on sale, might have to get one Razz

Cox, once you finished with the Lancer you should have headed over to Subaru's camp and help clean up the disaster they call the new Impreza, Jeez that thing is ugly.

Don't touch much Exterior Design nowdays as I am Chief Interior Designer

Thats pretty cool man! One thing I always wondered, do you get "inspired" (like, copy the best details inspired? lol) by other cars? I've seen the new interior of the Evo X (atleast I believe it's the real deal, saw a japanese brochure), and a few details remind me of hondas and alfa romeos...

Hehe. The original styling model was done by me and a younger guy, again in Italy. We tried to make it as "Original" as possible. But when it comes to production you always have to use carry over parts (parts used in other products, for cost etc) The main theme was was to make it as simple and over viewable as possible, clean and sporty, emphasis on the meter clocks etc. As we all cook with water, there will almost always be similarities due to layout and ergonomics etc. And in the end you have Engineering swarm over it etc.

Production Interior as seen in the real car (made by our main studio in Japan)
Personally i think they sort a fuked up the floor console, ours was much cooler Wink
But thats typical cost/engineering...always happens.

Well I think the interior as a whole looks great Smile But the concept sure was sexier...

I have a Fit/Jazz... and its a great little car, but I really would like to have more than 105hp lol ... too bad anything better is way too expensive here (absurd taxes).

We do a lot of them small cars as well (Kei Cars) for the Japanese market. We also did the latest Colt in our studio + the show car for it CZ2 cabrio ect. It was more of a Chic town car concept.

CZ2 Cabriolet

Those orange inserts are like bean bags made by Mandarina Duck (Italian bag maker)
