You don't get enough free time? I realised a long time ago that the less time I spend with my mind the better it is for me.

tomorrow i am applying for one of the hardest college courses there is .

Its a combination of 2 x 3 year university courses , PC network/system administrator , ranging from Visual basic/java to access , cisco , pc hardware , database .

all that pressed together in 6 months without leaving out any modules , this is a hardcore training .

Its financed by a company to train people cause there a huge need of IT specialists where i live , and through the 6 month course trained IT specialists can be brought to the marked faster .

But after emailing the responsible person for this , it seems only 16 are allowed into it this year , so the requirements are pretty high , i was asked to join an info session tomorrow and have an interview with them , if i pass , i can start in October.

Wish me luck! I will need it ....

I am trying to get a casual position at one of the hospitals. The money is decent and if something comes up family wise I can get the time off. I work for my family right now and they are getting older and they don't listen. The business is in joint tenancy so nothing goes to my side of the family anyway.

But ya, work sucks and working with family sucks more.

Do you like working with your family?

I worked with my dad years ago. We learned quickly that we cant work together. He's very condescending and set in his ways when it comes to metal working and welding and stuff

No because it is with my dad who has an explosive temper and my crazy aunt. Her, being socially unaware, causes some problems I have to deal with. After spending so much time with her I now have a greater understanding of where some of the tenants are coming from. For example, I painted in the summer and she starts talking about the tenants in the hallway. They can hear her.

Even my dad is stupid. He got involved in the sale of a business because he wanted the new tenants who bought the business to stay at our unit. Now previous tenant made alterations to the business that wasn't approved by the municipality so the next owners had to wait for approval, I think a business licence from the municipality. It is a big mess and not worth the stress. Now the previous owner is screaming for the damage deposit which she is entitled too but the new owners need approval from the municipality first. Now aparently after all of this, the new owners want to move because of some misunderstanding with the rent cheque. I got a cheque from her and she asked us not to deposit it yet so I didn't, she was as nice as pie. Now 2 days later she is screaming at me because I DIDN"T deposit the cheque as per her instruction and now she doesn't know how much money is in her account. Which is just stupid because she knows she wrote a cheque. I did her a favor but not depositing it when it was due. And really I got to ask myself, what part did my aunt have to play in this? Did she say something stupid? Also, She doesn't listen to what people are saying. Sometimes it is frustrating because I will foresee a problem and nobody listens to me. But it is money and enough to live on soo... whatever.

I want him to sell his half.

Im the complete opposite. I try not make friends with people I work with.
Then they ask you favours and work becomes a more social hangout than work.

When I work, I like to work. I sit alone at lunch and break and read or listen to music and i dont walk around shootin the shit with people.

I think thats why i have a good rep in the industry. Im known as a hard worker and someone who doesnt dogfuck or socialize.

Dont get me wrong, Im not saying its bad to make friends with people you work with...its just not for me

As long as you aren't dealing with the public and their anger it sounds like a cool job.
