I wouldn't trust that study, cause talking to a passenger is just as distracting and everyone does that.

Having an involved conversation while driving is bad. I often tell passangers " I can't really talk right now cuz I am driving". That is in busy traffic tho. I find I drive with loud music less too. Can't hear the sirens or if people honk at you.

Talking to a passanger is different tho. You have your hands free to drive and you can turn around and shoulder check. With a cell phone people can't do that.

I still think having a passanger is better. Your passanger has eyes so they will yell at you if you don't see something.

yeah, a swedish examination concluded with the same; as dangerous as talking in a cellphone. But at least you got your hands free when you talk to a passenger Razz
