Can't remake The Crow...just can't. Brandon Lee was perfect for that role. And the musical score, the whole feel of it....can't remake The Crow....

Who's doing it? Uwe Boll? Laughing

Andy (played by Nicholas Cage), an ex-Delta who was framed after he blowed the whistle on a secret Pentagon project to turn the american elite soldiers into androids, manages with the help of this super hot, but smart doctor chick in the infirmary (haven't I already seen this shit before?) to smuggle loads of C4 into his cell and escape by creating an AWESOME!1 explosion that would blow the whole prison.

Chris Martin will take the role of "Red", being in charge also of the cool black dude jokes.

anyway, looks like whalberg has passed on the crow (or rather, has not committed to it), and it looks like the production is going nowhere fast - heres hoping it stays that way.

The Lexington Comic and Toy Convention is in full swing this weekend, and our own Jason “Jinx” Jenkins was able to catch up with Crow creator James O’Barr about the new version of the film that’s coming our way and just who would be donning the make-up!

O’Barr said that “Jack Huston has definitely been cast,” that he was “really happy with that choice,” and that the film “will shoot in a couple of months.” He also said the film will essentially be a straight adaptation of his original graphic novel, which differs quite a bit from the (still awesome) 1994 Brandon Lee vehicle.

Corin Hardy directs the remake of the 1994 Alex Proyas-directed adaptation of the James O’Barr graphic novel The Crow which is about a murdered man who comes back for revenge.

The Cliff Dorfman-scripted pic will go into production in the spring.

Corin Hardy

Who the fuck is this and how did he get to direct the remake? Very Happy

Jack Huston is a nice choice , however, I doubt he alone can make it "work".

Tbh I liked The Crow: City of Angels more than the original. I think it has a better imagery, characters (some of them), soundtrack and setting.

Ok, I still don't want The Crow to be remade, but Jack Huston being chosen for the role (and not Bradley Cooper) makes it a lot easier to pass Very Happy

After years in development, numerous actors and directors attached and a flock of script drafts, it appears the new movie adaptation of James O'Barr's cult graphic novel series The Crow will start shooting in January, with Jason Momoa in the lead and Corin Hardy directing.

Looks like it acctualy might be happening now, though no one asked for it.

Quote:
After many years at the troubled studio, “The Crow” reboot has departed from Relativity and has been now setup at a conglomeration of Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow.

Titled “The Crow Reborn,” the three companies will finance, produce and distribute this new and said to be more faithful adaptation of James O’Barr’s original graphic novel. Jason Momoa was last linked to play the role but his “Aquaman” commitments may rule him out.

Edward R. Pressman and Samuel Hadida will produce. Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh will remain involved as executive producer and shooting is slated to begin next year.

He might have the screen presence (if not acting skills) to pull off an... interesting Crow, at the very least Wink I'm still not convinced it's a good idea to revive the franchise, though.
