Can I get demo of this somewhere outside xbl? I dont want to risk going online just for trial. So I would just copy it to usb stick like I did with some other xbl demos.
Offcourse I dont have jtag so I guess trial is as much as I will get for now

OK, I finished Limbo earlier and I have to say that it was a decent game. Nothing spectacular or innovative, all in all a so so puzzle platformer with a unique look and good audio. The game was too short at less than 3 hours by my reckoning and certainly not worth the 15 euros. 10 euro's would be pushing it even.
Oh well, I bought After Burner Climax a while back and that can be beat in 20 minutes or so and that was 800 points so I suppose you can't complain.

SPOILERS!
I liked Limbo a lot, and I thought the ending was good, but really missed a huge opportunity. Limbo is on the edge of hell, similar to Purgatory. Therefore, it's a good bet that the boy is dead throughout the entire game.
If you recall, in the beginning of the game, one of the first things the boy does is sail across a river in a boat. The name of this river escapes me, but I'm sure most of you are aware of the mythology regarding the river of the damned that one must pass through on their way to hell.
I believe that the entire game is essentially the boy's life flashing through his eyes. This boy apparently had a very hard life where he was picked on and outcasted by other children, where his fears and insecurities kept him from reaching his full potential, where he was forced to continuously move and never settle in at any one place. This is all reflected within the game by the other children attempting to kill him, the spider chasing him, and the large hotel sign, respectively, as well as many other instances of symbolism.
At the end of the game, the boy crashes through a wall of glass. This was most likely the final moment of his life: a car accident. Once you pass through this glass, you lay there for a while, and you wake up. You're back where you started. This is where Limbo made the biggest mistake of the entire game. The game should have happened all over again. Then, when you beat it a second time, it happened again, and again, and again. The game should have never ended, and in a way, never began. This should have been the story of a boy forced to wander Limbo for all eternity all the while experiencing gruesome deaths in a myriad of unthinkable, nightmarish ways. The story of a boy who's only desire is to find (presumably) his sister, the one person that gave his life stability and meaning. The story of a boy who will never be happy.
This was an opportunity to make a powerful, never-ending game, and while I enjoyed Limbo immensely and consider it near perfect in every other aspect, the ending could have been so much more.

*spoilers*
Really enjoyed it, no puzzles were too hard, but they're still satisfying to beat. £10 is nothing for anyone with a job (evidently unlike all the bums here) so I feel it was totally worth it for 3 hours of superb entertainment. I would have loved there to be another enemy like the Spider further in the game, that whole section (including the antagonistic humans) was easily the best bit in my opinion, because not only did the spider instil a sense of dread simply by being on-screen (the music and ambience helped with this) the puzzles were also more satisfying to solve since you felt you were defeating the efforts of other characters in the game.

Hitman was pretty good. Kane and Lynch not so much but from Denmark as well.

I certainly won't pay another 1200 points for another similar game from them. Limbo is worth max 800 points.

Limbo Team Working on New IP
Quote: | exclusive for life for 360 |
there is no such thing, eventually it will be emulated someday to work on other platforms ,and I will be very happy when this happen,I'm Against exclusivity |
From what I've seen, you're against exclusive games you can't play. Haven't seen you bitch about an exclusive that's not on a console (except PS3, because you have one). |
ah?
I'm against PS3 exclusive as well, I wanted access to more games as possible. now that the PS3 has been hacked,I bought one. I won't cry if more PS3 games will go multi, but I know that Sony games{that I prefer over Microsoft games} won't go multi anytime soon. I'm not "PS3 fanboy" at all,and the only reason I bought one,is PS3 exclusive+consoles exclusives that are not coming up to PC,I will be Happy if every game will be emulated to work as many platfroms as possible.

The Witcher.
Also:
Quote: | It's obviously early in the game making process, so Patti isn't sure if this new IP will be an exclusive title like Limbo remains on Xbox Live Arcade, but he told Joystiq that the goal is, of course, to get this new game into as many hands as possible. We'll have to see. |
Source. So it might not be XBLA exclusive after all.
