Yeah, the new drive was really worth it. After using the notebook for 2 days now it really starts to show. It's not like it is super fast or anything now, it still is 6 years old. But it is really good usable again, finally surfing isn't a chore anymore.
And considering the update was only 50€, it was more than worth it. I don't have the money to buy a new notebook, and investing 50 bucks is practically nothing, considering I can still use the SSD later for something else.

€50 or €500... definitely a good choice Very Happy And, as you said, if/when the lappy finally gives up the ghost, you can simply stick the SSD into a desktop comp and enjoy the benefits from that too. Of all the things I need to get, an SSD is definitely at the top of the list.
