I'm using this, and am very happy with it: https://www.feralhosting.com/pricing

Download speed is almost never under 100MB/s, usually between 100-200MB/s, everything gets downloaded seconds after I add it. Upload speeds I've seen go up to 8MB/s, but thats probably limited by amount of seeders more than their network.

Do you have problems with the FTP speeds lately? My speed keeps going up and down constantly from max to like 130kb/sec and barely ever stable anymore.

they currently also support deluge, so they should be an option.

2 offers currently interest me, feralhosting and whatbox.ca. Does feral actually reach those speeds it lists? 505mbit/s upload?
Can I use public torrents with feralhosting?

Are you psychicly reading my situation or do you reside in germany as well?
At least the servers of whatbox and feralhosting arent in germany. feralhosting resides in london and with whatbox you can choose netherland and united states.

German law now doesnt matter such much as the law of the countries the servers reside in, right?

Well I was downloading 20GB of fucked up data from usenet via astraweb, so I'd like to have something where not even the damn pars are broken! Laughing

So I saw this thread again Very Happy

I read through whatbox's privacy policys and they say that they will not give out any information to third parties at all... So that would make it... safe for us?

Feral hosting looks great, but 0 open slots and to be honest, without hump approval I won't cancel my usenet Razz Further I'd need to know where I get my stuff from, after I ordered such a seedbox and what I need to start.

400GB should be more than enough space, right? I mean, I'd download and then delete from the server anyway... and what about the download limits on feral? None? Only upload limit??

I'd only feel 100% safe, if they didnt log any data, so they couldn't hand over data, even if they even wanted to. Not sure that is even possible.

Yes, games, series, movies. With best quality this time. In the case of movies, I want blurays Very Happy

Im going to share my box with someone and I still cant think of a proper reason why this wouldnt be enough. Smile

Use Entropay (or similar) its still a chain to you, but it adds one more loop.

How slow are your home connection since you need seed boxes? Or is it for "security"?

It's for:
1. Speed, my connection is 8Mbps/512Kbps. Means I cannot maintain my upload ratio.
2. Torrents slow everything down - you can't browse the web or watch youtube normally while they're on, even if you limit the speed it's still pretty bad.
3. Security. My ISP can't know what I'm downloading since I use FTPES. If they want to know they would need to go to my seedbox host, which won't happen for small fish like me, provided the seedbox host is even going to reveal the information to some agency from another country.
4. Seedbox is a virtual server. I host a few services I need for non-torrent stuff there as well. Technically I could set up media streaming so I can stream movies/shows directly from the seedbox but I haven't bothered yet.

And I'm not paying for usenet because I find private trackers to be a much better service. Everything is categorized more neatly, it's easier to search and it's easy to find what is popular (useful when I don't follow every new movie/show/game release).

Feral only offers google wallet and bitcoin. So I would get myself two bitcoin purses? Buy bitcoin from some service, transfer on my wallet #1, then transfer to wallet #2 and then from there pay for the hosting?

Feral is currently in the middle of a big move to a new datacenter and their servers are down and will be probably for the next day or two. Just a heads up.

A 16mbit/1mbit line isnt good for keeping good ratios on good trackers. But its primarily for "security" Smile

Yeah, you can use https://localbitcoins.com/ to find if someone near you sells them for cash, if you want even more anonymity(but it may be at premium price compared to market exchange prices).

Been a fan of NNTP since 1997.

But nowdays the releases are either broken, DMCA, german unlabeled movies, or password protected ones :/

OK, so I cancelled astra, switched back to my old host and lets see if I get broken pars. If so, I have a 3 month membership (it was too cheap to take just one month Laughing) and in that frame plenty of time to think about my future as a pirate Crying or Very sad

Now that I have a seedbox (seedbox.io), im now interested in private trackers again.
I hear good things about IPTorrents, can you recommend others, or perhaps even invite me?

You must know that IPT has a pathetic policy of hnr but content wise there is no tracker which can beat it the only 2 which come close is Torrentleech and Ncore.

Feral is having there own problems ever since they moved from ovh stay out of them first time being.

Pumpy - In seedbox only your upload is counted as traffic

Thanks for the input. IPT still sounds like something I'd want. I'd sure check the others out too. Still need an invite Smile

Not really no. I can only tell you that i managed a good ratio on a "semi-public" anime tracker without a seedbox. Though only with a little over 2 TiB upload over several years. I kept the ratio out of goodwill, as a lot less would have been enough.
I WILL read through the FAQ/rules/"seedpoints"/hnr infos provided to understand what I need to do and what I can do.

I'm thinking about buying a seedbox. Been using newsgroups for years, but the DMCD/Passwords are killing it for me.

Also been on private trackers before, yes i'm still sharing using my own private server. Looks like getting into TL is almost impossible. I'm seeding pretty good on the trackers i'm a member on, so i'm not a leecher.

Anyone friendly enough to invite to TL/pixelHD or IPT? Can show you screenshots of my current ratio on other sites to prove i'm a good member.

Since a lot of people are basically asking already in this thread, i'm assuming it's not against nfohump policy.

Mods must move this thread in Scene Section.

For PixelHD invites are not open for public you can only get into it via there application you cannot survive on PixelHD unless you are good seeders most people get rejected on pixelhd I have been on pixelhd for more than 2 years and they have great encodes.

You guys must do google search "IPT/TL Tracker review Torrent Invites"
