I played the first section on the ship a few hours ago. The frame rate was fucking atrocious. Had to watch a movie so didn't play much when I was on the island. Its Dead Island, with more guns based on the really short time I spent on it

So far I love it! Its pretty much more of the same so if you like the first game you will love this one, like me! It would have been nicer to have visually improved zombies but they look identical to the ones in Dead Island.
The framerate is a a bit disappointing on the boat, I agree and the environments seem more detailed than the first and has a few more visual affects especially with the stormy weather. The framerate seems to improve when you get onto the island.
 Spoiler: | I was shocked to have a pistol, shotgun and machine gun so earlier in the game. But its kinda like a prologue and you lose all weapons when you get to the island, which is when the game really begins. I checked the map out. Its pretty fucking huge! |

the game is really fun ... massive .. and very difficult ... alot better than the last one and the graphics seem better too

Like original Dead Island. It's basically big expansion without any improvementrs. If you liked DI and you are still not tired from games like this - play Riptide.

Average reviews are in the 60 percentile.
Although it's not much different from the first one where the average review was around 71%.
It's just a game series the reviewers and gamers heavily disagree apparently.
