Happened again last night. This shit is too scary. This time I was lying on my belly and I tried to roll off the bed so I could wake up - and I thought that I did it, but I was still in the middle of the bed when I woke up. anyway...I saw some black thingy getting closer and something like a goblin under my table.
Can't help but wonder how it's possible that so many people see the same exact shit, and how it's based on where you live in the world. It must be a cultural thing, but how different table manners make you see a goblin instead of a hag makes me wonder.
And why is it always something bad? Why is it never some hot celebrity or pornstar naked in the bed with you?
it happened to me last evening,
It all started with a dream, me and the gf walking around town drunk as hell wobbling about
then a storm starts, we walk near my house and I see this really low (as high as a 2 floors building) altitude storm cloud that looked creepy as fuck, as if it's made of lead particles.
I woke up laying on my back and I couldn't move... I felt winds so strong they were lifting me, window was open and it was storming as hell. I got scared as fuck so I did my best to scream until I got woken up...
Then I realized that the window is actually closed
The wind was actually the fan
and that my neighbors (who've heard my screams) probably think I'm mentally unstable.

fml
by believing something like that actually happening, doesn't that almost prove that you're not as awake as you think you are during this state?
Jokes aside, I read some time ago that irregular sleep patterns and stress/anxiety are two of the main reasons that can contribute to trigger these pretty horrifying events. Alcohol and drugs can contribute as well (I'm looking at you, Fire ) since they're extremely "effective" sleep disruptors.

I haven't smoked hash in a week or more... Could be withdrawal or just the fact that fucked myself over and turned on my back in my sleep. I also read that PTSD can cause it to happen frequently.. which I'm beginning to think that it could be a reason.
Remember scenes from silent hill where the world completely changes to a horrifying version? that's pretty much what happens during sleep paralysis, you're in the exact same place, aware of it, except there's some horrifying shit going on and you FEEL IT.
Had this weird experience yesterday, don't know if it was a dream or sleep paralysis I was sleeping and suddenly awake because someone sat on my back. I heard sounds everywhere but i couldn't make anything out. I lay there for a while and couldn't movie while thinking "this is just a sleep paralysis episode, i'll just ride this shit out" and after a while i found myself googling what i experienced and bam, i was awake and everything i just experienced felt completely surreal.
I had it again last night. I don't know if it's connected to my head injury or that I spent the whole fucking Sunday watching Season 2 & 3 of Haven
"Woke up" in the middle of the night from a "dream" where I had a fight with an old friend (I'm not talking to that guy anymore, I quit being friends with him 3 weeks ago).
I was staring at the window and it looked like something is burning outside, that moment I KNEW that something was wrong -> I moved my eyes a bit down and look at the chair, suddenly the chair transformed into a dark person (usually the guy who gets closer to you and starts to strangle you).
I moved my eyes towards my pc and below my desk there was something or someone sitting / hiding, but looking at me.
this time I could somehow "save" myself by quickly grabbing my phone and distracting myself by surfing the net for a couple minutes before the dark person could get closer to me.
I don't like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis

I thought the deal with sleep paralysis was that you can't do shit like grab your phone to surf the net while the paralysis is still in duration. I have had it a few times as well, and the moment i manage to somewhat move, the paralysis episode dissipates immediately.
Yea, that is really weird, this was the first time that I could do something against it. Maybe because I saw it happening before it actually started to happen. No idea... but it was fucking scary.
