am i the only one having problem with resolution in this game? i have both versions - p2p and reloaded and each one doesnt allow me to set resolution higher than 1024x768 (2nd is 800x600). my notebook can handle maximum settings but 1024x768 isnt enough, especially in 4:3 mode which cuts off left and right side of screen.

my specs
i5-2xxxM
8gb ram
ati 6700m with 1gb ddr5
win7 64

anyone knows how to fix it?

This one, mate. I found a couple of map "fragments" in one of the missions (Barrows, I believe) that opened two challenge maps in the game itself.

After you complete barrows you unlock those two challenge maps, using map fragments reveals uncommon locations on the world map (zoomed out or otherwise viewing the entire middle earth world.) such as the fortress of Sauron (Bara Dur) and the black gate fortress.
(The only two maps I've found so far, just a bit of backstory and lore on those places.)

Oh? I thought the fragments themselves opened the challenge areas... didn't know it was yet more useless lore Sad

This was quite a nice suprise! Just finished the game and I simply loved it! It feels like a proper old-school action game, but it also has some bits of RPG in it. The skills system is actually quite good and your skills do matter in this game. Loved the fact that was so much loot in the game and a lot of it was quite useful. The sodding dwarf became a war machine at the end of the game. Mind you, it was not an easy game. Even on normal difficulty you can die quite easily. You can then continue to play the game again with the same character on two more difficulties after that, since the game acts like Diablo and all those games in this regard. The combat system was quite good to be honest, very simple, but it works very well. Tolkien's lore was very well integrated into the game and quite detailed if I may say. As a big fan of Tolkien, I really loved this, since his work hasn't really received a good game until now. Radagast's appearance in the game sure made me happy. Let's hope those modders will be able to finish MERP too, so we'll have another win. The story was in my opinion better than the stories of many games we get these days. The characters were also very well done. Oh yeah, the fact that the game ends in the proper old way, without a cliff-hanger just so they can milk it next year, is definately another plus for this game. Don't get me wrong, this game does have its problems, but they're all pretty much little ones, there are none that act as game-breakers. Well, I think that's all I have to say about it. Well done, Snowblind, you sure gained my trust!

so played this for 2-3 hours, that mage doesnt learn any range spells, fireball or shit like that? only shitty staff combat and that machinegunlike range spell? other than the game seems bad, althought the npcs are definitely one of the most realistic ever made

BS title.

It's NOT a remaster.

NO ONE says it's a remaster, it's just a patched-up version with some upscaled assets.

Hm, people seem to like it, so maybe it was worth it?

What was back then an average / mediocre quality product, is now considered very good when compared to modern shite.
