Rolled a poor character though, and chose some feats I ended up regretting (everything else besides that could be corrected with cheatengine but I just stuck with the walking speed fix instead). Did a sniper plus knife dex build but didn't dump much into stealth, so obviously had some issues. Can't find any release date for that expansion though... any updates about that?
Sadly there haven't been any recent updates about the expansion as far as I know, though after the (many) delays they're probably being vague to avoid giving false hopes. (I'm guessing it's a generic 2018 at this point)
I liked the lack of a map, it meshed well with the atmosphere of the game, of being lost and making your way through tunnels. But adding a map is a good thing, it was definitely requested by a LOT of people and I can always pretend they didn't add it if I really want to. Nice to see the devs taking into account the feedback of players.

Indeed, it was the same for me as well. It did enjoy going blind, trying to memorize the paths with the "am I facing the unknown or have I already been here" doubt felt an immersive part of the experience. I eventually had to take some notes (inevitable really) but it's doable as long as one is armed with patience.
Having a proper map as a reference is great though, it's always an important option to have and it's not something that taints the journey (unlike markers and silly GPS-like invasive stuff).
The developer mentioned they would be away for the first 2 weeks of January and would deploy the experimental build to the main branch before leaving.
I had the experimental 1.0.3.20 build installed and after switching to the main branch I didn't need to download or change anything, so it confirms they released it. It's a good one worth a re-play of the game for people who enjoyed UnderRail (unless you wanna wait for a clean playthrough for the upcoming expansion).
looks much better than what i remember from the main game. guess he's hired someone who can actually do artwork (havent tried the game in a long time though, maybe the old art is updated too?)
This is a trailer for the Underrail's upcoming expansion. This DLC expands the base campaign with many new waterway maps that connect various harbors of the Underrail as well as adds huge new region called the Black Sea, a massive underground body of water. Take a break from the usual metro-crawling to take a boat to this infamous place. There, among the old and mysterious ruins of an age long past, you’ll face the vicious fauna, hostile natives, cunning pirates, and something far more sinister than all of those. Your voyage through vastness of the Black Sea will shed new light on the history of the world of Underrail and the forces that shaped it.
Expedition will feature the following:
- A brand-new story line that becomes available during the mid-game, which you can play your own way as no decision or hostile action will lock you out of completing it
- Nearly 200 new areas to explore of various types – shores and islands of the Black Sea, mysterious underground facilities, pirate strongholds, and more
- Many new wild creatures and a couple of new crazy robots to combat
- 15 different jet skis, ranging from the puny "junk jet" up to the dreaded "Devastator", that you can use to get around the Black sea and outmaneuver or obliterate your naval foes; upgrade your ride by purchasing more powerful vehicle parts
- Three new distinct weapon types - shotguns, swords and spears allowing for a number of new play styles
- Many new items, some obtained through crafting and some found in the world
- New psionic skill, Temporal Manipulation, that focuses on delayed damage and utility
- Specialization points that are obtained on each level past level 15 that allow you to further improve your feats
- Leveling past level 25 and up to level 30 with a special pool of feats to choose from
- Over 30 new regular feats

Game Notes
Underrail is an old school isometric turn-based RPG set in a distant future
when the life on the Earth's surface has long since been made impossible and
the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro
station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race

From what I gathered DLC changes main game here and there a little bit. Looks like it's now possible to get the shotgun during Persuasion check at the Armory.
BTW, Razor's release is GOG variant. Contains game and DLC as separate installers.
Finally began a serious playthrough (had this game since release ). It's pretty cool so far.
Though its annoying how small everything is if you use native resolution (4K, ultrawide).. it's basically 60% black and then a tiny portion of the actual area you can see in the middle with super tiny details and characters. A zoom function would have been good instead of having to change the resolution to a lower one.
Since my old saves seem to have been lost to time I started a new playthrough. Which is not too bad, since I got to see new content added to old quests, and a whole new questline with The Dude (pretty funny BTW, and long!) from Rail Crossing. It gave me a special, pretty useful ability.
And I finally started the Expedition part. Man, the artwork is so nice. Much better than even the updated originals.
Oh and when you get the jet ski travel around the old map, now you can visit everything on your own ant there are secrets to discover

Ive been playing since last monday from the beginning, insane how much content there is if you explore everywhere, you probably can miss more than half of the game if you stick to the main story. I got 80h til the part where you go the deep caverns; but didnt went there, from what i read i cant get up again, so i started the dlc instead. Game is fantastic and so sad that it had poor sales and from what i have seen, not many got the dlc. Again, insane amount of content, with the dlc you can reach 200h in one playthrough.
