havent played it in a long time. got the v 1.5 reloaded release now + the 1.5.3 and 1.6.1 update from bat (yes i know current version is 1.6.3, but too lazy to play around with the 3dm update packages).
and the fuck game doesnt work, boots up fine but when its loading the race (doesnt matter which config, even the benchmark does it) it loads of, shows the track and car and after 5 sec it goes back to the main menu.

after reading that -> repaired install all vc redists packages, nothing changed. dunno what to do else, forcing 32bit version doenst help either. nor does deleting the config folder in my documents

The bat patches install fine? They are xdelta iirc and if they showed no errors you can at least be sure that your install is ok.
If you have to reinstall again try see if just 1.5 loads up cause if that doesn't work your up shit creek without a paddle.

sure the patches went through fine (and havent read about any problems with them, so i havent reinstalled v 1.5 only. but gonna try that later)
if googling that -> many people with different game versions have/had that problem. and most of them had no solution

seems the 1.6.1 update is faulty, works fine with rld v 1.5 release + bat 1.5.3 but bat 1.6.1 kills it

got another release (1.6.1) and applied the 3dm updates to 1.6.2 and 1.6.3. game works fine. dunno whats wrong with the bat update

nice, wonder how much they have to pay them faggots @ ea to use the license (ea has the exclusive digital license from porsche -> thats the reason why only ruf appears on some racing games instead of porsche)

It's a tough cookie, because there is a career mode, but it does mainly consist in a series of challenges/championships, which may come off as aseptic.
The driving and physics themselves are excellent though (the AI..a bit less amazing, but passable), so it all depends on your needs.  Generally, this is a game that is very much straight to the point so to speak. |
