You guys are lucky to at least have crashes.
Over here the game doesn't even install.

So I finished the game a few days ago and overall it was okay. It was clearly too rushed with a lot of content cut as well as a lot of unfinished content left in. Performance was all over the place with various glitches and bugs. The first one was super-tight as far as game design and execution is concerned compared to Survivor. Too bad. Some parts were really enjoyable while other parts were very lacking. Oh well...
Playing Dead Space remake now and that's how you release a game. Polished, great performance, looks great and no issues whatsoever.

Dead Space 2023 has some minor stutters (when transitioning levels) but it's, otherwise, an almost impeccable game.

I remember the same issues being reported on release that Jedi Survivor had, just not as severe maybe.

Hmm, I haven't noticed any stuttering. I'm not using any DLSS-etc. stuff, just the normal settings (two or three set to medium to get perfect fluency). If there are any issues like that I may be desensitized to them coming straight from Jedi Survivor. Maybe it's been patched recently, maybe playing with the latest drivers helped?

This game very likely sold extremely poor overall on PC and especially compared to consoles. So its probably never gonna be fixed in an optimal way. There's no incentive for them. They're moving very slowly with the updates and not doing much with them

Got a feeling this game will slowly be abandoned.
I bet it still runs like garbage, even now, with it's 6th patch...

I finished the first one earlier this year, finally got to it and while it was a good looking time waster it ain't what I'd call captivating if you're not into NuStarwors.
Now if only someone would suck Empress' dick hard enough so we can get a Dead space remake I'm all set for this year.

Hm, considering how long they took to update this... it still feels like a quasi-abandoned title.

Director has left the building for the third game. I predict a very gay Cal in the next game.

damn what crappy level design this game has, totally ruins the pacing with all the stupid puzzles or sometimes just incredibly strange and circular design. Also the levels doesn't feel big at all (read somewhere that the levels are huge, no they're not). worst purchase of last year for sure, even at a deep sale this is not worth your money.
Loot is 100% useless. It's just for cosmetics which obviously only a small child would care about anyways "oh look, the robot got a green head now!", "the hilt is now slightly darker, wow!". Still so much of the game is created around it lol, so fucking dumb. "Oh another box, what does it a contain? - oh a mullet. thanks game, so immersive to find a mullet that i can wear, makes total sense that it would be laying around here!"
if you want a really great action game with tons of heights and climbing and where the heights actually can give you a vertigo, get Uncharted 4. It's miles better and still looks incredible. Way better pacing and level design + better characters and action too.

Combat, traversal and variety are significantly better. Main set piece missions are pretty fun and bombastic. Exploration is better but still meh. But the story is so bloated and disjointed and the writing is off.

@madness: didn't play it apart form just trying the first level out.
Exploration is shit because there's nothing to discover apart from graphics or solving the puzzle of getting away from the area.
Combat somewhat surprised me, it's probably better and harder than expected for this type of game, but i mean it's still shit compared to something like Elden Ring.
Traversal is still gimmicky, it's the typical "here you can use your grappling hook", "at this specific place you can run on walls". nah, don't care for it the least, i love open world games where i can traverse openly and how i want in a more non linear fashion. you'll find invisible walls all over the place here to stop you going from the linear path.

Well, combat in ER is utter shite, so... this isn't a merit. At any rate, I much preferred the combat in Jedi Outcast. Yet to play this one, but if combat is a bit harder, that's good.

not sure who you're trying to lecture though, i doubt there is even a single person here who doesn't know its highly subjective. I love the combat in ER, someone else hates it, it's totally expected.
