Well that was fucking awesome (mostly), alcohol really is the great nullifier of panic Myself, wife and her parents/aunt, it was great - the food was heavenly, the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed, and the drink flowed freely. I tried to get on at 00:00 to wish everyone a happy new year, but the signal was terrible and when I finally connected I couldn't remember my NFO pass... meh. Either way, that was a really fun night and I enjoyed it immensely.
.... the "mostly" part refers, unfortunately, to my poor doggy who took a turn for the worse. We know he's getting old and he won't be with us much longer, his hernia causes stomach problems and he's an aged dachshund who's back is giving out so he can't climb/jump any more, but last night his back just stopped working and his legs gave out, he couldn't move much without dragging his back legs and stumbling over. It only last about an hour and it absolutely broke my damned heart to see it, but it passed and he started moving properly again. Sadly it just hit home that it really won't be long before we have to take him to the vet  So yeah, last night was "mostly" fantastic.
Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! \o/
