could have been way worse, feels like they did the best they could with those actors and budget.
it captures the game moments just like it should, when they moved through the mansion, i had the same feeling like while playing resident evil 1.
i also like the combined story of RE 1 and 2 much more, then the original story, which is full of japanese weird cringe moments, which often doesn't even make sense.
i doubt that people who don't like or know resident evil, will get anything out of this movie, but for fans this should be something good to watch. no masterpiece, it looks like a tv movie, but at least this feels like resident evil and is ok to watch.
also don't give a shit that jill and leon doesn't look like they should. i rather have this, then the cringe outfits of the 90's. people want it to be high budget cool resident evil, but they don't notice that the game already feels like a cheap ass tv movie.
it's out of my mind, how you can rate the first anderson resident evil movie higher then this.
Ah oh well a reimagining could be better than previous attempts.
It won't
Spoiler:
But yeah, from that teaser maybe that could be the house from RE7 but probably isn't, same for the slim nekkid tonizito on the sewers that could be the dood from RE8 and probably isn't too.
Also, couldn't care any less about whatever else this guy directed, just follow the formula and broad strokes of the original trilogy, or 7/8, or even RERE1/2/3 instead of trying to reinvent the well over and over and over.
