i like that they didnt made him an anti hero cuz at some point seemed they were going in that direction, showed him as a real villain, so props for that
I waited for the full season to air which is unlike me and then binged it in two days. I enjoyed the hell out of it and I completely disagree with the IGNorant 5/10 review, my God.

Anyway, this was an awesome self-contained story if not for a single piece of misguided self-indulgence (ep 4 or 5 I believe).
Not just really well acted and written characters, but a solidly-build, gritty Gotham that finally looks like the hellscape it is, without the few unnessary billionaire's gadgets, righteousness and one-liners.
This was a wondeful ride, that came to a harsh yet solid conclusion, and I love it for it.
Couldn't recommend it more.

I watched it all it's pretty entertaining. Wont blow your mind or anything but it's got plenty of solid performances (farrell doing impressions of Tony soprano) and production value.
Maybe that's the reason? I'm not a fan of Batman or anything, but I really liked how they turned it into a gritty Mafia TV show without any supernatural (so far) stuff.
In my opinion it's basically what Nolan did with Batman films.
And..well, I must admit, perhaps amazing was not the right word but I still think this show is really good,
