Suggesting such a thing is pure stupidity. I don't know whether I should feel sorry for you or happy for myself for finally knowing I’m right about something.

I ment running away as in just not getting into the arguement. I did that whole fact/opinion thing a month or so ago with fisk and I don't feel like arguing about it again.
And Griffon ment it as just like getting out of the thread cause he's starting to get annoyed. Not saying as you won or something.
Ah well you guys have fun. I just got back from a concert a little bit ago and I'm beat so I'm gonna go to bed a little bit early.

Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Well they pulled off Lord of the Rings, and that has over 1000 pages. |
The copy I have of fellowship, its 535 pages....
and even so a lot of people moaned about what was left out...

Watch ROTK EE version 4th or was it the 3rd disc??!?!
You will see how they used the book in the filming process, very interesting reading if you ask me. They will show you an animated CGI of the process, some parts are from TT in ROTK, and some parts from ROTK are in TT, etc etc, Peter Jackson = Genius
And don't forget the talentful screen writers

I am not knocking the films, not my type of films but I can see why epople like them (and the books)
There are exections to every rule, but most films are not over 3 hrs long for a start, and as I said you like dthe films a lot of people thought they cut too much from the books, but as I havent read the books isnce I was little (and have little intrest in them now) I cant comment on that...
But there you go, look at a lot of other superb books and then look at the film versions, a huge huge percentage of the time it is cocked up, Jurassic Park 2 is a great example, the book is completly diffrent there are only little similaritys, hannibal the book is superb, the film is pish.... and there are a hell of alot more that are crap, then the ones that are good.

I get angry when im reading crap like that about LOTR; people must be morons if they think 4 hours or more (EE) isn't enough. They didn't cut anyhing vital from the book, this is from the director himself Director:
"We focused the path on frodo all along, some elemets with the other characters will be present, but our goal is to follow frodo from the start till the end."
Besides most Fans have accknowledged his work so I really don't give a fuck if a 10 year old complains or not 
I have read the book, (yes book) 4 time's, will do it again, some people read LOTR Evry year
I haven't read Jurrasic Park, (btw you mean script?) since the movies were bad.

Why does someones opinion if it differs from your make them ten ?
I wasent knocking the films, not my type of thing in written of film form, but thats just me, for what they are they are good films, just not for me.
But if someone says they shouldnt have cut a bit from the book, then thats there opinion and it may be a bit of the book they happened to like, it proves my point in that it is hard to create a film from a book even when the book only runs at 250 - 300 pages when it comes in at 600 pages as you have said they cut bits from the ROTK book and couldnt even fit it into 4 hours.
Thats my point that I started with and will fight for, there are films that are made from books and are good films (Jurassic Park was pretty close to the book, Silence of the Lambs, LOTR trilogy, The Godfather, The Exorcist etc. etc...) but they still had to remove things to make them fit into a resonable lenth film.
If you are dealing with a book and you have to create a film from it, any reasonable lenth book will lose bits when its made into a film, and when you have a book like Da vinci code, i cant really see what they can lose, as the book has (from what i remember I read it when it first came out) very few sub-plots that could easily be cut, you could remove why she hadent talked to her grandfather in years, but then that is relevent to what he was a part off...
I really do think they will have a hard time creating a story as good as what was in te book, and keeping the film to a normal lenth film. i hope they manage it as I really enjoyed the book, but i can see it being a huge cock up.

Paul WS Anderson, while sucking immensly, is nowhere near as bad as our friend Dr. Boll.
