Nope Jihad is splitted in various of different tasks which a muslim can prove himself either to help the poor or to meditate to obtain internal peace, the war part is very very exaggerated and is kind a useless to use these days.

Islam isnt great not one religion is great anymore... Problem is Islam is still in its initial stages, just like any other book orientated religion they have their fair share of hate and its up to you as a person how you gonna proceed with the tranlations and interpenetations of those books to make up how much you are willing to sacrifice yourself for that particular religion.

It's sad to see people completely oblivious about what is going on. Islam have ~1.4 billion followers. ~15% of those have radical views. Those 15% (200 million (!!)) are spread throughout the world including europe and usa. Many of these muslims with radical views see themselves as islamists.
Lets take an example. I'm sure you all know about the outrage that came after the danish cartoons where people died, two nuns were killed etc., right? (you should unless you've lived under a rock). Was it a pure accident that the entire middle east got the news? No, of course not. It was the danish leader of the Council of Imams, Ahmad Abu Laban, that organized the whole thing. He was also connected with giving support to radical egyptian groups connected with Al Qaeda.
Mutantius, go back to school and learn about religion, specifically Islam. Until then you're just talking out of your ass since you're as ignorant as an inbred idiot in the swamps of Louisiana.
To deny the fact that there's millions of muslims around the world that support (and work for) the spreading of their idea of islam and islamic law by force, activism and politics is just a sign of either being a far-left dhimmi (like the kids rioting in copenhagen this week) or just totally ignorant on all accounts.
